Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Missouri City

So as a trusted local guide I normally will give a location a couple of opportunity visits to really "show me who they are" and Shipleys in general and especially this location is who they continue to show me who they are

Small location located in an older, well kept strip mall. Service is absolutely horrendous at this location and there is never any attempt to make the experience any better. Always seems a bit warm inside the space. Has I believe 5 small tables to sit and eat at. Not sure if it's the oil or the preparation, but the donuts don't seem as fresh. I would avoid trying to obtain a resolution for anything on-site as the staff will "pretend" not to understand you and walk off to the back or just move to the next customer. Order completely wrong and items not present. My husband and I stopped here after a great service at church to purchase some doughnuts and he paid cash and the lady stated she wouldn’t accept the $20 cause it was dirty, another employee tried to give her a marker but she refused roused it cause the $20 was dirty 🤔 ma’am do you not understand all money is dirty, however because we were in a different mind set he reached in his pocket and gave her a different dirty $20! We stopped at Krogers and had no problem. I’m almost positive some people have no clue of their ignorance. Won’t spend my dirty money their again and my business is located less than 3minutes...

4:00AM on a Tuesday. Starting my day off and go to Shipleys. As I walk up to the door I make eye contact with an upset looking man tossing dough from within. As soon as I walk in the door He tosses his was of dough down and yells at me, “Why is that door open? 5 more minutes.” I awkwardly apologize for entering the open establishment and wait in my car watching the angry man throw donuts at a table for nearly 15 minutes. He saw my lights. He saw me outside my car. He had a bad day but it was a bad experience for me too. I won’t be coming...
