Well I used to frequent this place very often with my guy, who also visited often with his friends as well. Everytime we go there we spend at least $50 & when he's with his friends they spend well over $100 easy sometimes $200. Anyways, I said that to say that a couple weeks ago we had the worse service. Usually the owner would serve us & be sure everything was on point. Well now that she has people working for her (her family) now all of a sudden the service has declined majorly! We asked to run a tab after ordering our drinks & food. The bartender asked for a card, ok fine I give her my card. After enjoying the amazing food from the awesome cook & a few drinks I asked for our tab. Well the bartender takes it upon herself to run my card, didn't ask me ish about how we're paying... Then had the audacity to get smart with me. I asked her "excuse me you didn't run my card did you because he wanted to pay cash." She responds with "Um yea I did, the point of asking for your card was to charge it so you can just calm down." I was like super shocked because 1st of all everybody knows when you run a tab the bar hold the card & NOT just run it. Like who gave you permission... Is she a bartender or not because that should be known! Then she told me that her Auntie can reverse the charge, um no thanks just give me my card please. So the bartender whispers in the owners ear (her auntie) (I guess about what happened) & you know they giggled & she didnt even come to apologize. We left & the owner had the nerve to wave & say "see you next time"... No mam there will not be a next time due to your lack of professionalism. It's not that I didnt have it available, its the principle that you didnt check with me first & the nasty ghetto attitude. Nobody has time for that. In a nutshell... DON'T PATRONIZE THIS DISRESPECTFUL...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend anyone that has respect for themselves to visit this establishment. We were a party from a party bus that was prejudged before entering the bar. From the guy that got onto the bus, to the security, to the waitress and the over all owner herself. We didn’t have a positive chance to enjoy our night before and entering the establishment. They first assumed we were all underage because we came in on a party bus which we were celebrating a bachelorette party. The waitress tone/demeanor was very rude when asked of us to clear some space. No one minded moving because we understand businesses policies. It was the carrying on of the waitress which was very inappropriate and unwelcoming. So we as a party decided to leave because we wanted to keep the streak of a positive night. Before leaving, the owner approached one of the guest in our party and said “oh you’re the one with the party bus”. So we then knew at that moment we were already prejudged. We had already visited two other bars which were the Drink house STL and Twelve19 prior to Holeshotz and didn’t have any trouble. Those bars welcomed us in and were very pleasant with even bigger crowds. Holeshotz, if you want a good environment and customers to have a great time when visiting your establishment, please give them a chance and show some respect when you’re asking others to comply to your policies. Trust me, customers would not mind obeying and even staying around if...
Read moreUpon entering the esteemed Holeshotz Bar & Grill, we were greeted with an air of jovial camaraderie and a charming rusticity that belied the culinary treasures within. Our evening's indulgence was guided by the delightful Shonda, a server whose warmth and sagacity in her recommendations bespoke a deep familiarity with the establishment's offerings.
Our repast began with an order of the chicken wings, bathed in a sweet and sticky sauce that was as ambrosial as it was irresistible. The wings, tender and succulent, were a revelation—a perfect balance of savory and sweet that left us in rapturous delight. It was a dish that exemplified the art of simplicity elevated to grandeur.
In a moment of adventurous fancy, we added the lemon pepper swai filet to our table. Seasoned with a deft hand, the filet was a masterpiece of flavor, each bite a harmonious blend of citrusy brightness and peppery warmth. The fish was cooked to a delicate flakiness, a testament to the kitchen's meticulous attention to detail.
In conclusion, Holeshotz Bar & Grill has firmly secured its place in our affections, not only for the outstanding fare but also for the exceptional service provided by the charming Shonda and staff. Though there were slight oversights, they were but a trifle in the grand scheme of our afternoon's enjoyment. We shall most assuredly return, eager to further explore the...
