Taco John's — Restaurant in Mitchell

I did not have a good experience here.

I used to app to order curbside. There must be an issue because this is the second different Taco John's I placed a curbside order for and they never came out with my order. They even asked for car information. Automatic point deduction for that.

I walked in five minutes after the app said my order was "ready." The young woman behind the counter seemed annoyed. "I was wondering if you were coming in. We don't bring orders out." Sorry, I was just following instructions from the app.

After that encounter, she walked away. Seriously? About five minutes later someone else brought me the order.

It looked like it was high school staff night as all three people on duty were probably in their teens.

The food was no longer hot by the time I received it. I ordered guacamole on a burrito, but there was barely any. Maybe a half teaspoon at most.

This is probably the worst fast food place in Mitchell and probably Eastern South Dakota. 9 times out of 10 they will forget at least two to three things that you order no matter if you went through the drive-thru or ordered inside. The food is always cold and employees working there always have a grumpy, negative attitude towards you. If you bring up that something's missing from your order it's like they get upset at you like you're the one that messed up your order. If they miss a drink the staff will essentially slam a cup on the counter and not even apologize for missing it in the first place. For a place that charges for the cheese cups and misses them so frequently I'd be upset too. Two cars in the drive through and staff act like it's the busiest they've been all day. I don't know I keep trying. Had to scrape off the bit of guacamole they did give me. Ugh!

UPDATE: I had previously given a 4 star rating, but today I was looking forward to my free oles for National Potato Day! Got to the pick up window and I couldn't get the app to open the coupon (my error). I was asking the girl if she knew how. She didn't answer, then asked if I had the rewards. I said yes, then still nothing. There was a long line so I just paid for everything. The part that took me back was her blatant annoyance and lack of effort. It really took me back. Oh well. Got my food and have another coupon for my upcoming birthday that I will NOT be using. Sad! Staff is ok. Not overly friendly but not rude. Food is good and...
