Wingfield's BBQ — Restaurant in Mobile

I highly don't recommend this place! If you want to be a problem for patronizing an establishment, this is your resturant! Doing this review is major for me because I don't usually like addressing everything, simply because in life we all have to learn to choose our battles. But this one is necessary..... Considering I eat at this place at least 2 to 3xs a week! Upon entering I'm always pleasant and greet everyone with a smile intentionally and for the most part the waiters or cashiers do the same.( No problem there). Thank you to whom it may concerned. So recently I ordered my usual/BTW whenever I order it's always 2-5plates...... So it was my usual. Well the chicken was considerably small and usually if this happens somewhere else it's acknowledged and they may add another piece. No problem/solved. And hey I understand things happen. I've been to Walmart and purchased a party bag and was absolutely astound at how small the wings have become, so I didn't want my money back or anything. I actually understood. So my call wasnt to be problematic but to render some harmless feedback from a routine customer! So I called management in a peaceful way, here again just to bring it to their attention and even had smiles on my end. Hey just wanted to give some feedback. I guess the owner was having a bad day and took the opportunity to use we as a personal punching bag. His response/ tone was awefully rude. And said i qoute " it was 7.00 dollars! No it was not sir. 8dollar ish a piece and I purchased 2 plates. I'm like no sir that's not the point. I'm not bringing dollar amounts to your attention. Money is not an issue here. So your mentality and approach was all wrong. So my response to him was sir all is well. If that's your response that's quite alright. He said "No" my response is you're always a problem! At this point I am in awe for the simple fact that I've never had an issue and His attitude wasn't warrant and being that I am a woman and he a man talking this way to me in this tone, I knew I needed to retreat quickly, so I said sir with a smile, Have a blessed day and very nasty he replied, No you have a blessed week and I replied I will..... Sorry it took so long to explain but This incident was so unnecessary/ could have been avoided and handled so in a different way, preferably with some integrity. His approach and customer service rate a negative zero in my opinion. Because I am a consistent and diligent customer. And for him to deem my patronizing his business as a problem is beyond description. I am so hurt by this because where have we evolved to as a people/business. The way he talked to me as a woman, I know he would never want another man to be disrespectful to his wife. (The NiceNasty) smh... All I could say was God bless you sir. My question is Why???? You will never have to worry about us EVER coming there again EVER! We will take our business someone else with Good food and integrity to ALL people! And again God bless your...

👎👎Edit: extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. We came in-person this time instead of delivery because we were excited to see it for ourselves. They gave us a much smaller portion of the egg rolls and a much smaller slice of cake. We paid full price so we expected a full portion. The wings tasted like the oil and the batter wasn't fresh, and the fries and macaroni were bland. We were going to make this our regular spot for lunch but not anymore.👎

Blue Velvet cake 10/10, Rotel egg rolls were great 👍 Wings and the ribs were tasty and cooked well 😋the yams and the chicken/sausage jambalaya was okay but still tasty. if the rotel fries came with a good drizzle of the egg roll sauce on top, it would've been perfect. Overall 5/10. Bought lots of variety to try... just meh. Macaroni and cheese was the worst I've ever had from a restaurant. Tastes like noodles and vegan cheese... no salt, no flavor, no nothing. The smoked chicken was decent, but I think it was cooked the day before. The smoked burger lacked flavor and pizzazz. The smoked wings were decent.
