So last week as I was out running errands I decided I would stop at dynasty garden on coffee road in Modesto California and grab me something to eat as I was getting kind of hungry. I ordered the dynasty chow mein this consists of beef Chicken shrimp and vegetables and of course the noodles. I asked them not to put the vegetables in my chow mein cuz I don't like the. When they brought me my order it only had one shrimp and very little chicken or beef so I basically just paid for a bunch of noodles with sauce in it. Now mind you it takes you pretty good but once again it was mostly just noodles and I think this this is about $10. So after I ate the chow mein I decided to go ahead and get some cream filled wontons . You get 8 for I think $11 I'm not sure. When they brought this out I was looking at them and they looked okay I was taking a closer look to them and opening them up. 3 out of the eight wontons. Had no filling. I told them this is unreasonable and I am not paying for this I did not want the order. So after eating my chow mein getting a soda by bill with about $14 I left a tip and I left. Dynasty garden used to be a really good Chinese restaurant but it was a little pricey but now it has completely gone down hill. If you're looking for good Chinese food in Modesto California I recommend going to China garden on coffee. You get more food for your dollar. And the food tastes really. I believe I am going there for dinner tonight. Well this is all I got to say. This is just my thoughts....

Dynasty Garden Restaurant is by far my top favorite Chinese restaurant in Modesto. I've been to this restaurant on two different occasions for takeout for chow mein, fried rice and whole roasted duck. Food was very delicious. The last time I was here, I had dinner with friends and we dined in. We ordered a selection of foods and shared it with each other. We had the orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, spicy tofu soup, roasted duck, with white rice, bbq pork dim sum, sweet custard rolls, and fried sesame balls. The orange chicken is the best I had in town. The chicken is perfectly coated in a light tempura batter that the crispiness of the batter retained it's crunch even when the orange chicken is coated in the sweet, tangy orange sauce. Most other restaurants skimp out on the meat of the chicken by using smaller chucks of meat and a heavy thick batter for their orange chicken. I've had orange chicken from other restaurants and the tempura batter becomes really soggy from being coated in the orange sauce. I highly recommend ordering their orange chicken, it's very delicious. I've already had the duck before, but my friends really enjoyed the duck, since it was their first...

Not great. We got 3 dishes. Shrimp chow mien, garlic chicken and walnut shrimp and white rice on the side. Shrimp chow mien was brought quick but was watery and bland. Garlic chicken came next and we were told was stir fried with onions and mushrooms. It should have just been called "One Large Cut Onion and Mushrooms dish". We couldn't taste any garlic on it and we were having a hard time finding the tiny cut bland oily chicken pieces under the mountain large cut onions. Then we got white rice which seemed tasted old. Only redeeming moments were that the walnut shrimp tasted good when it finally came out, staff was quick to check on us and food came out quickly...which I'm not sure was a good thing if most of the food tasted and looked like it did. This is the second time we've come here. First time we came 30 minutes from close and and older gentlman came out and refused to serve us cause he said they close in 30 minutes. Probably not gonna come back here. Was not worth it. We took left overs and gave it to homeless on the way home. It was either that or we were going to throw it away. None of use wanted to eat it. Hope for this resturaunt's sake they can improve...

I've loved this place since the day we met... and as a guy who routinely drove from Sacramento to SF and LA for great dim sum for years...this was a shock at first. The shrimp are so fresh and the chicken is identifiable and the vegetables always look and taste like there's a garden out back. It is NEARLY PERFECT.. I say that with sadness because before the pandemic IT WAS PERFECT.. to the point friends and family from up to 120 miles away would make pilgrimages and Dynasty DimSum runs.. but then the baked items disappeared.. which was supposed to be temporary.. and the prices began an upward creep.. and now instead of twice a week visits it's about 3 times a month.. due to economics and missing baked BBQ pork bao and several others.. don't get me wrong..their steamed dimsum is to die for..there just seems to be much less made or available.. it's amazing WHEN THEY HAVE DIM SUM LEFT after 11am... I highly recommend it and genuinely love this place... the service is always great and the cleanliness is constant.

BEST DIM SUM IN MODESTO! Very authentic, on the same par as the dim sum in SF. Such a nostalgic feeling when I come here! It’s a small family run business and I am happy to spend my money here. The food is … I’ll say it again, AUTHENTIC , and fairly priced, so it’s very busy on the weekends for brunch which makes me happy that Dynasty is enjoyed by many. I usually opt for take out. Note that on weekends during brunch, takeout can take up to 40 mins but I have ZERO issues with that, just plan accordingly, it’s 100% worth the wait every time! They usually have mostly everything on their dim sum menu. All my favorites are always available! I used to go with my mom brother and grandma to the Tea House in Chinatown, SF for dim sum brunch every weekend when I was a little girl. Coming to Dynasty brings back those wonderful memories. THANK YOU FOR SERVING MODESTO WITH AMAZING CHINESE COMFORT FOOD!

Ordered prawns with lobster sauce. It is 100% flavorless and looks like someone literally ladeled some egg drop soup into the box and added a frozen mix of carrots, peas, and mushrooms, then added shrimp. I can't stress enough how this was basically soup. The garlic fried fish was plain and flavorless, not a hint of garlic and no sauce or seasoning. The hot and spiced bean curd was flavorless and had the same cheap mix of veggies as the shrimp. With these, an order of gai lan and veggie chow main, the price tag of $55 was enough to ensure I will never return back. I am so, so disappointed.
