So last week as I was out running errands I decided I would stop at dynasty garden on coffee road in Modesto California and grab me something to eat as I was getting kind of hungry. I ordered the dynasty chow mein this consists of beef Chicken shrimp and vegetables and of course the noodles. I asked them not to put the vegetables in my chow mein cuz I don't like the. When they brought me my order it only had one shrimp and very little chicken or beef so I basically just paid for a bunch of noodles with sauce in it. Now mind you it takes you pretty good but once again it was mostly just noodles and I think this this is about $10. So after I ate the chow mein I decided to go ahead and get some cream filled wontons . You get 8 for I think $11 I'm not sure. When they brought this out I was looking at them and they looked okay I was taking a closer look to them and opening them up. 3 out of the eight wontons. Had no filling. I told them this is unreasonable and I am not paying for this I did not want the order. So after eating my chow mein getting a soda by bill with about $14 I left a tip and I left. Dynasty garden used to be a really good Chinese restaurant but it was a little pricey but now it has completely gone down hill. If you're looking for good Chinese food in Modesto California I recommend going to China garden on coffee. You get more food for your dollar. And the food tastes really. I believe I am going there for dinner tonight. Well this is all I got to say. This is just my thoughts....
Read moreDynasty Garden Restaurant is by far my top favorite Chinese restaurant in Modesto. I've been to this restaurant on two different occasions for takeout for chow mein, fried rice and whole roasted duck. Food was very delicious. The last time I was here, I had dinner with friends and we dined in. We ordered a selection of foods and shared it with each other. We had the orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, spicy tofu soup, roasted duck, with white rice, bbq pork dim sum, sweet custard rolls, and fried sesame balls. The orange chicken is the best I had in town. The chicken is perfectly coated in a light tempura batter that the crispiness of the batter retained it's crunch even when the orange chicken is coated in the sweet, tangy orange sauce. Most other restaurants skimp out on the meat of the chicken by using smaller chucks of meat and a heavy thick batter for their orange chicken. I've had orange chicken from other restaurants and the tempura batter becomes really soggy from being coated in the orange sauce. I highly recommend ordering their orange chicken, it's very delicious. I've already had the duck before, but my friends really enjoyed the duck, since it was their first...
Read moreNot great. We got 3 dishes. Shrimp chow mien, garlic chicken and walnut shrimp and white rice on the side. Shrimp chow mien was brought quick but was watery and bland. Garlic chicken came next and we were told was stir fried with onions and mushrooms. It should have just been called "One Large Cut Onion and Mushrooms dish". We couldn't taste any garlic on it and we were having a hard time finding the tiny cut bland oily chicken pieces under the mountain large cut onions. Then we got white rice which seemed tasted old. Only redeeming moments were that the walnut shrimp tasted good when it finally came out, staff was quick to check on us and food came out quickly...which I'm not sure was a good thing if most of the food tasted and looked like it did. This is the second time we've come here. First time we came 30 minutes from close and and older gentlman came out and refused to serve us cause he said they close in 30 minutes. Probably not gonna come back here. Was not worth it. We took left overs and gave it to homeless on the way home. It was either that or we were going to throw it away. None of use wanted to eat it. Hope for this resturaunt's sake they can improve...
