Grub Hub — Restaurant in Modesto

Super smart idea. There were 9 food trucks, of various types: Pupusas, Tacos, Krepe Dog, Kebabs, Aquas Frescas, BBq, and even a warm Pretzel cart.

If you can't find something to eat here you are making it way to difficult.

After two hours on Google maps looking for a spot, I stopped here due to the wife wanting BBQ tonight. The two shown BBQ joints (Doc's and another) were not stationed or open at this time, there was a truck called 'Rub' out of Turlock, so I gave it a go.

The gentleman inside was super friendly and he knew his products well, I believe it was the owner. Was excited to taste after our brief chat, he mentioned his products are St. Louis style - no sauce (which we prefer) instead of Texas or Southern style - cooked in and covered with sauce.

Ordered two, '2 ways' both with Tri-tip and Baby-backs with slaw on the side.

Tri-tip - It was good, crisp on the outside with a good smoke ring and char, while being a medium well inside.

Baby-backs - Were good as well. St. Louis style ribs should stick a bit to the bone, these did stick a bit, and were close to perfect. The seasoning was on point as well.

When you add a little sauce, it makes everything a bit better too. It is a simple sauce nothing too fancy which is perfect for this.

Slaw - Was amazing. Not sweet a little vinegary with black pepper. Guessing his own recipe.

This may not be the correct location but I hope this reaches corporate. I ordered tonite in tx didn’t want to go out tonight so I ordered some comfort items as usual with Grubhub the person couldn’t read directions in English or directions spoke with him on phone tried to direct him to my location he couldn’t understand that had to getup go down stairs to try and find him. He dropped the items off somewhere and seen me speeded up drove off fast . Took a pic said items delivered no pic just black screen . It’s never the people on their picture it’s some one else using another person identity . This is so unsafe behavior tonight I read where a woman was stabbed 16 times by a delivery driver and she was pregnant because he didn’t like the tip he received. These delivery services have been taken over by unsaved people. Beware of these delivery services. You order loose your money waiting on refunds have to make up difference by purchasing the goods again . Shame on Grubhub , shame on Bezos . I already got rid of Instacart and Uber eats and now here goes grub hub . I don’t pay membership it’s offered by prime but I am done . Scared in Texas . Now they have your addresses you scared they might come back and hurt you. Beware and Be Safe . Bye...

Grub hub is a great place to go when you have a family who all likes diff things to eat when it's an eat out day. My family in particular are THAT family who can never decide on one place so we go to grub hub. There's diff varieties of food to choose from everyone can literally get what they want and still eat together it's a win win. They have outside tables right in the center of all the food trucks they also have some along side of you want to be away from everyone,most trucks play music while you wait for your food so it makes it that much social and fun. Types of food can range from pizza,bbq,gyros,mexican,kabobs,papusas,hot dogs,pretzels even a juice truck all flavors are pretty good! They even have a truck out there with yummy filled churros are my fave dessert👌 They constantly have a new truck pretty often so there's always something new to try!!!
