Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Modesto

Terrible slow service, always messing up orders on many occasions including overcharging if you use coupons or substitute a milkshake for a soda in a meal (they charge full price on the shake). The manager lies & says she'll send a gift card for a free meal then doesn't send. They go through employees like 2-ply toilet paper. One time 2 employees were ripping their hair out, drive thru computer wasnt working and I was stuck in drive thru w/cars in front and behind me unaware of what was going on...ended up going inside after the employee backed the cars out, it still took forever to get my food and I heard the guy call the manager on speaker phone begging for back up and her response was basically "deal with it". I felt bad for the employees. I've also dealt with some rude young female employees in the past and watched them be rude to other customers in line--probably the same ones others are posting reviews about gossiping on the intercom, cussing, unable to hear in drive thru, messing up orders--sounds all too familiar. There also is a manager here who barely speaks any English and another employee has to translate (same one that messed up my order and overcharged) --you should not be a manager if you can't speak English--I even had to use Spanish to get my meaning across. This place is poorly run, I don't see these issues at other JINBs. This store makes the whole chain...

I went here around 1:40ish in the a.m. because my wife going to be induced for her pregnancy at Kaiser, she had cravings before the process started. That craving being a Vanilla Milkshake. When I ordered the milkshake the person on the speaker told me she had to check for the machine and after for seconds let me know that I would be getting the last Milkshake that night or moment. When I got to the window I thanked the drive-thru operator and told he she made a pregnant woman very happy. I could see a smile run right across her face, she congratulated me, told her BM who offered me his thanks and gave me a free cheesecake! Pulled up to drive through got told by girl to turn around and park she then turns around to let another employee know she had to park another one in a laughing manner! I turn around and park right across from the drive through window as instructed. 20 mins later the drive through line finally clears up so I pull back through to find out what happened,. Was told you didn’t park in the right place then handed a cold bag of food. I abruptly grabbed the bag because I was now late returning to work. As I’m leaving she yells how rude!
