Luigi's Pizza — Restaurant in Modesto

Alot of people on Google reviews are rating this way higher than it should be as far as I can tell people in this area are just eager to have a place that is not a chain restaurant that they can call good. You have around 3 to 4 other pizza chains that would beat luigis pizza I emphasize the pizza because as the hundreds of robot reviews who just may be people with no taste buds have said the cheese balls are good. Now that's the problem though your pizza is supposed to stand out not your side items this pizza is just a step above frozen pizza. Was hoping to eat inside as well noticing two tables in the room as I entered but was told take out only. The employee behind the counter seemed competent as he wrote down every item but somehow managed to mess up my order changing out the mozzarella cheese sticks for the most bland bread sticks ever. The ranch cost 50 cents which in my opinion you spend over 50 dollars and still asked to buy ranch to go with items that are commonly paired with it is absurd in any case the ranch tasted like the store bought ranchs this pizza place has a main theme not so fresh ingredients needless to say I won't be back hope people in this area one day have a chance to taste...

First, let me say this is my favorite pizza place. We live down the street and order from here a lot. Sometimes the pizza is PERFECT but sometimes the crust is half burned and they are ALWAYS chintsy with the toppings (even when we say we'll pay extra). We just spent $46 on a cheese and a three topping and I swear there is almost no dang toppings its ridiculous! The staff is okay. The guy who I assume is the owner is super friendly, but there are some girls who are kind of rude and some new kid today who clearly knows nothing about customer service. When he handed me my receipt he threw it down on the counter in front of me. That's just rude whether you mean to be or not.

I just ordered the garlic butter pan pizza Personal size. It was AMAZING!! first time getting food here. Atmosphere is fun and lighthearted. It's sometimes hot in there, but that's because of their awesome old fashioned brick oven!!! Pizza was great! The cheese holds your toppings on!! I had no topping fall off at all!! And none of the flavors were too over powering! It was all a perfect amount of topping, cheese, and sauce!! So delectable!! I will definitely be returning here to try other things on their menu!!!
