Alright! Another Honest review. Atmosphere first. It's nice. Not terrible. Not run down. The fish tanks look really sad, to be honest.... gasping for air, I feel bad for the red parrot fish. It is pretty, and it does have a vietnamese theme restaurant vibe, so it passes on those... the floor and the tables.... are sticky... when I walk around, I can hear my feet sticking to the floor and the table that I am eating at. Other than that, I'm okay with everything else.
The waitress was nice, but I needed water... maybe they are just short staffed, but regardless, I was thirsty. Maybe check in on me?
The food was probably the best part. I ordered the Combo pho and vermicelli salad. The pho was perfect! Just the right amount of meat and flavor. It has more of a beef flavor if you were curious. The condiments could use more. Add more. The vermicelli salad was depressing... the lettuce tastes dirty.... and it was bland..... noodles need to be more soft and light. The menu... no kids menu? Not even a small bowl of pho? Just regular? Come on, I k ow you guys can do better than that.
Anyways all in all, the menu is my biggest problem with not catering to kids, I even asked the lady in the front desk for either a small bowl of pho or a kids bowl and she told me they don't have one. other than that. I would eat here...
Read moreWent in for the "best seller" chicken strips as I walked by. They are TERRIBLE. SO GREASY, NO FLAVOR. DIDN'T MATCH THE PICTURE ON THE ITEM. $12 for a 6 piece combo. It came was 5 fries. Literally. And a salad? All in the same box. The salad got the fries and chicken wet as well. It was nasty. My 8 year old didn't eat hers. Nor did my husband and I. They didn't offer me a receipt, otherwise I would post it. I threw the food away so no pic. The chicken strips were a tempura batter. I like tempura but NOT THIS. This was also my 1st time ordering here, my last I'm sure. The young guy at the counter didn't know how to enter my order and didn't say thank you when I gave him a cash tip when I ordered. Just a BIG NO overall for me on this place, very disappointing spending $35 for nothing edible. No lunch...
Read moreReview for Take-Out Came in on a Saturday afternoon & we were greeted as soon as we walked in. He handed us menus to take a look at before ordering. The decor really went with the restaurant name. There were multiple clock displays. "On Brand" as the kids say. We ordered the Large Combination Pho, Seafood Chow Mein, Tofu Pad Thai, & House Special Fried Rice. After 20 mins, our order was ready! The Tofu Pad Thai had the fried tofu which I prefer to the soft tofu & the flavor was yums. The House Special Fried rice was good too. My parents enjoyed the Seafood Chow Mein & the Combo Pho - no complaints there! One of my top three Pad Thais in Modesto (Yes, top 3 - behind Thai House &...
