Scotty's Doughnuts & Teriyaki Chicken — Restaurant in Modesto

I had never tried Scotty’s egg rolls, so on the recommendation of my sisters I added 10 egg rolls to my order of Teriyaki Chicken bowls. First: I can’t say enough good things about their chicken bowls… so packed with meat, veggies and rice… and so delicious. On top of which you get a BIG tub of teriyaki sauce with each plate. I also LOVE that you can order the chicken bowls with no rice & extra veggies at no charge (for those watching their carbs). Second: the egg rolls were huge, and tasted fantastic. Price: 2 for $3.50, and worth every penny. Last: we had the grandkids in the car when we pulled up to the drive through for pickup, the woman (owner?) who handed us our bags of food ALSO handed my daughter a small paper bag FULL of donut holes, explaining they were for the kids. I was so impressed with her kindness, not to mention the fast, and friendly service. Tip: I would recommend calling ahead to order. Scotty’s Donuts & Teriyaki Chicken is worth giving a try.

P.S. I had read a review that said Scotty’s has the best cream filled donuts. That’s an understatement! They will fill any donut of your choosing (splitting the donut, and spreading a thick layer of their homemade “cream”). It's a cross between true Bavarian cream and whipping cream. Stopped here specifically for the egg rolls. Also decided to pick up a couple of donuts. The spot used to be the best. The egg rolls were good. But the donuts not even close to what they used to be. In fact I don't think I would ever go there for the donuts again. The inside of the donut shop is so dirty and run down and just filthy. This place definitely is not what it used to be. As for the egg rolls I'm sure my husband will be back. Might I add there is a drive-through window which is kind of cool for a donut shop. It is located on the same property as the Modesto Gospel Mission. Which wouldn't be a problem but there are literally randoms just walking around like zombies. Scotty's Donuts rocks they are awesome all they're doing is are good delicious wonderful but their coffee is amazing for just playing Columbia Roast Coffee it is delicious, I mean the only coffee that I think might even be better is Starbucks gourmet coffees but for a quick cup and Joe it's delicious and doesn't cost you almost 6 bucks a cup you need to try Scotty's Donuts cuz they have delicious coffee for it a large is about: $ 2. 00 (Small is $ 1.00) Not to mention teriyaki rice bowls are extremely delicious, my my favorite is the variety it has three different types of meat pork chicken and beef it's humongous, so hey...
