Such a great and better alternative to places like IHOP or Denny's! A Breakfast & Lunch spot, only open 7a-2p, we came on a Tuesday morning around 10am and by the time we left, it was packed. There's somewhere between 10-20 tables and 2 servers on the floor - those girls were hustlin' and demonstrated great teamwork helping out with coffee refills, clearing plates, and making sure one another's tables are taken care of. Excellent service! The menu is a bit overwhelming and had this been a planned visit instead of spur of the moment, I probably would have studied the menu beforehand. I can't say I'm adventurous enough to try the Zweifel Omelette; bananas and apples sautéed in butter and honey which are then placed inside an egg omelette with a peanut butter spread - they've got quite the eclectic menu! I prefer waffles and rarely order pancakes, but this baby I'm growing totally has a sweet tooth so we got a short stack of two pancakes to share; banana + chocolate chip! They were pretty good and hubs and I could only eat about three-quarters of ONE of the pancakes - they were huge; the size of the plate. I opted for the Beefy Bleu omelette which was overflowing with ground beef, mushrooms, and instead of the listed tomatoes, I changed it out for onions. True to its name, it had chunks of bleu cheese as well and was topped with green onions. Each omelette dish came with a choice of hash browns or spudz (I guess home fries, or potato chunks), and then toast (you can upcharge to biscuits and gravy, a pancake, or fruit), and side of sauce (pesto, nacho cheese, or....something. But I'm obsessed with nacho cheese, so naturally). The omelette was truly stuffed! I couldn't eat much so that became breakfast the next day. And the next day! Our leftovers were more than enough for my hubs and I to split and get full from. Only, I added shredded mixed cheese to the inside of the omelette at home. While it had bleu cheese, I feel the mixed cheese was still necessary. The only thing I'd change about my omelette would be smaller chunks of bleu cheese, because they were huge, and add in mixed cheese. The ground beef was absolutely delicious! This is an awesome...
Read more10:30-11:45. That's from check-in to finally just walking away. My recent experience at Squeeze In was profoundly disappointing. Even though everyone else's food smelled nice, I regrettably left without being served. Throughout my time there, numerous patrons arrived after me, placed their orders, and received their meals promptly, while my table was consistently overlooked.
Although two members of the staff were sympathetic and attempted to reassure me, the server who initially took our order displayed a concerning lack of professionalism. When I expressed my desire to simply leave after the prolonged wait, her demeanor turned noticeably sour.
Adding to the dissatisfaction were the outdoor tables, which were unstable and had a poorly designed top pattern, causing two separate incidents where people spilled their drinks.
While I understand the challenges restaurants face with staffing and busy periods, being entirely overlooked and then met with indifference from our server was unacceptable. As a result of this experience, I have no intention of returning to Squeeze In ever.
update to reply from owner Like I said, I understand the concerns of being busy or being short staffed. We were fine until I expressed my concerns over wanting to leave because I was feeling weak and sick. That's when the attitude from the server came in. You and the gentlemen who were back there were kind and polite and we were willing to wait, but the server gave me attitude when I suggested my desire to leave(I have an autoimmune disease and felt like passing out after waiting so long). I demanded to my friend that we leave before I passed out, that's when he decided to tell your staff that the service was terrible. My apologies if he was rude. I appreciate your desire to maintain the reputation of your business and I'm sure a lot of factors led to the disappointing experience, but the server did not have to respond that way. Maybe it was unconscious from her perspective, but she was dismissive, sighed, and rolled her eyes at me. That's not okay as I was extremely kind and patient...
Read moreI do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They do not have honesty at all. I called 10 minutes before arriving to the restaurant and they told me that the wait time for eight people is from 10 to 15 minutes. We arrived and we put our names on the list as they told me that there is no reservation can be made over the phone. We waited for about 45 + minutes and we did not have a chance to sit as of that time. Then we decide to leave and I told them why didn’t you guys tell us on the phone that the wait time is between 10 and 15 minutes? One guy who was working there he was very very very rude and instead of apologizing, he started arguing with me about the possibility that by the time we called it was 10 to 15 minutes however when we arrived things change and people came in. That was not true as we asked the people before us, and they mentioned that their wait time was the same. and he kept arguing with me about that. It is also not true because I live close by and it was about 10 minutes only from where I live between my phone call to you them and arriving there. He kept arguing and arguing and he was very very very rude. However the other ladies that works there were very nice and they were very sorry for the inconvenience. For that reason, I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody as they do not have honesty. They try to tell people inaccurate waiting time on the phone to have them come in and then tell them oh sorry you will have to wait a little bit more until we get you a spot to sit at which they don’t say that on the phone. if they say on the phone that the wait time is unknown or if they say that the wait time is 45 + minutes then we would know at least and decide if we want to go to the restaurant or not. Again I do not recommend that restaurant specially that rude guy that works...
