Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my recent experience at the Starbucks located at 2519 Coffee Rd, Modesto, CA 95355. Overall, it's a convenient location for those on the go, but I have to say that the customer service here could use some improvement.
One thing that stood out to me was that the staff seemed quite busy and often forgot to greet customers as they walked in. As we all know, a warm welcome can make a huge difference in how valued and appreciated customers feel. In fact, studies show that 70% of customers feel more valued when they are greeted upon entering a business establishment.
Similarly, a warm farewell is also an important part of the overall customer experience. 80% of customers believe that a friendly goodbye contributes to their satisfaction. These statistics highlight the significance of greeting and farewell in creating a positive customer experience.
Starbucks, known for its commitment to exceptional customer service, understands the importance of these interactions. Their core principles include creating a welcoming atmosphere and connecting with customers on a personal level. It's essential for businesses, especially Starbucks, to uphold these principles to ensure customer satisfaction.
In addition to the customer service, I also had an issue with the initial hot coffee I ordered. It was cold and tasted terrible. However, I must commend the barista who promptly apologized and ordered a fresh cup for me. I appreciate their effort to rectify the situation.
I hope this feedback reaches someone responsible and that they find it valuable. It's important for businesses to prioritize greeting and farewell, as it significantly impacts customer satisfaction. Let's hope this Starbucks can improve in that aspect. Remember, this post is meant to be neutral and...
Read moreThe morning crew is always kind, cheerful, helpful, and get my drink correct every time. I love coming here in the morning, as it brightens the start of my day!
The afternoon crew, on the other hand, are always rude, dismissive, obviously don't want to be there, and get my drinks wrong constantly. There is an employee there with the name tag "Manny" who gave me half the normal amount of whipped cream, when I paid for extra whipped cream, and then when I asked for it to be corrected, he refused to help me, and the girl he was working with rolled her eyes at me and added a tiny spurt to the top. Since then, they have been extra cold towards me, try to make me leave, and give the bare minimum. They make the drinks extra icy, as I did an experiment once getting the same drink in the morning and afternoon, and the one in the morning was made perfectly, and the one made in the afternoon was an icy, flavorless mess.
As a manager in the fast beverage industry, I know how difficult it can be to go through rushes and make every beverage correctly while still maintaining a smile for the customer. But there is never a rush, and it is never busy in the afternoon, and I can't help but to wonder if it's because of the lack of care from the employees on duty during that time period. The biggest rush always seems to be in the morning, and my drink is never incorrect, and I always feel welcomed even in the fast-paced environment that is a morning rush in the world's largest coffee chain. A huge difference from the snotty behavior of the afternoon crew.
All in all, definitely come to this location in the mornings, but plan on the rush causing you to wait a little longer than usual! Avoid in the afternoon...

Came in to get a drink 😄 after hours at my brother tombstone in the hot 103 weather but remembered I left the card at home 😔 so I asked for a water and bathroom they couldn't hear me and kept telling but since I only had a water and they had paid drinks in order they just kept doing it they lift their head phones still can't speak or hear over the music. Two older maybe 50-70 yr old business casual lady's on laptops sitting. The code I could hear didn't work the light turned off ECT so I just sat down. The lady's kept typing and one lady gets up from behind me huffs and walks to front and says we should of locked the doors. She keeps pacing then two white couple persons walk in and she greets them like she was gonna give them pecks on cheeks it's a family reunion but she just kept whispering then I finally look at her friends and go do you work her it's 248 pm and she is arms reach away the whole time and says yes I'm store manager. I'm flabbergasted awe ok maybe you can give me the code and I can use the bathroom she did but gave me the code with this blank face like she didn't hear or see my frustrations with them. But the white couple got a nice greeting ear full racism doesn't have to be verbal or violent it could just be the rude non verbal body language you use. And actions you take. I literally just spent hours cleaning my brother's grave for my birthday sweaty 🥵 and was treated me like I was trash and invisible but they are for equality and world hunger and pets lives matter. They even had a sensory box but couldn't give human decency to a mom in out from the heat...
