Steel House — Restaurant in Monaca

I received the wrong food (after I was asked 3 times about what it was I wanted). The wait staff was inattentive! The wait times were unacceptable. I received undercooked food and some food came out cold while others came out hot. Lots of things went wrong when I ate here. I have culinary training and food industry knowledge that spans over 25 years. So to paint a clearer picture I counted a total of 33 customers at the location when I first arrived. It was down to 18 customers by the time I got my food. I thought maybe Steel House was short staffed. Unfortunately it appeared to be well staffed or even overstaffed for an establishment that can only hold a max of 50 customers "safely" at one time. There were at least 3 waitresses, 2 bartenders and 3 cooks that I could see. Food took a long time to come out and we were treated like we were a burden to the establishment or as if it was a restaurant feeding 150 people per hour. I had the Pittsburgh burger with a side salad and a diet coke. I honestly think this is the best burger that I've had for a long time. The quality of the ingredients of the salad were supreme. I agree with another commenter that the ranch dressing was delicious.The facility was super clean and from where I was sitting I could tell that the kitchen was clean as well. The restroom was clean and accommodating but the light switch was broken ( afraid of getting shocked). My only complaint is that the waitresses seemed to get lost in the last process of the customers meal. My original waitress just disappeared out of the establishment so I'm not sure if she got her tip? (Almost) everyone was greeted when they walk through the entrance. Everything was done properly but I seen customers get up and ask for to go boxes. I seen another customer take her receipt to the bar so she could leave because her toddler was getting antsy. The waitresses were super friendly but that last step was lacking. I definitely will go back and try...

First time here but I'll definitely be back. I'm a bit of a burger connoisseur. The steel sunrise burger holds solid with my favorite other burger in Beaver county (Bridgetown Taphouse). Mac and cheese by appearance looked off in color but actually very good. More of a white cheddar appearance.

My only food critique would be the fries need to be a little more crispy and less greasy. I know this is hard with any fresh cut fries, and goes against Pittsburgh tradition.

Staff was very friendly albeit a little less attentive than I'm used to. But no real complaints in that department.

Our dining friends had wings who were ecstatic in how they were cooked as well as the flavor. One had the steak and fries and was very content.
