Steel Town Sounds LLC — Local services in Monaca

This is a long overdue review...... I was having problems with a 10 year old remote starter and stopped in to Steel Town Sounds to see if it could be fixed or if it needed to be replaced. I was fully expecting to hear that a new one was required, but surprisingly Justin told me that replacing the key fob alone could likely take care of the problem; $45 instead of $300+, so I went ahead and ordered one. The deal was, however, that if it didn't work, the $45 would be taken off of the price of a new starter.

It took quite some time to be shipped (I blame the Postal Service, having experienced similar delays myself), but it finally arrived. Justin programmed the fob to match my unit and..... it didn't work.

Again, I expected to hear that the whole unit need to be replaced, but Justin asked me to bring the car back the next day and assigned one of his technicians to find the source of the problem, which he did.

It has been about 4 months now and I have had no further problems with the starter, so I wanted to give a shout out to Justin and his team. He could have told me that there was nothing further that he could do and I wouldn't have known the difference; instead he gained at least one future customer and hopefully more if this review...

Called October 10th to schedule an appointment for October 26th. Got 2 rear door speakers installed, then put my car in storage. Recently, I took my car out of storage and noticed that there was a rattling noise in the back, so I took the rear door panels off. Speakers were not properly mounted, wires were not routed properly and pinched in-between the bracket & door, as well as brand new speaker had a hole in it where they screwed it into the bracket. So they had over 2 weeks to get the proper tools needed to mount the speakers and failed. 0 excuses for any of this. Also mentioned that the speakers were just pushed in with the screws that came with the brackets instead of being riv nut in, and I got told "I just get told what to do". What a joke.. Contacted the business and sent an email with pictures of damage. No response other than we will relay the message to the boss. Called two days later and still the same excuses that the boss has been too busy. It has been a week now, and nothing. Do not waste your time here or you will just get the run around. The fact that they tried hiding their hack job work & damaging my speaker is a joke. A 16 year old kid could of done...

I couldn't be more happy and pleased. From the first phone call to the completion of the job everyone that works there was very friendly, explained everything in detail and was very accommodating.. I had a app controlled car starter put in my 2020 Jeep Cherokee. The price was definitely comparable to other businesses but the service was above any business I have ever seen. The people at steel Town Sounds did an excellent job in communicated with me every step of the way. I would definitely recommend them for any job.
