Chofi Beach — Restaurant in Monmouth Beach

Came here since I’m always visiting the location in union city. The food was good and made/served fresh. Seems like more people take their food to go here, they have 3 tables set up and although I stated to stay I was still given To-go receptacles.

Again in comparison to the warmth and friendliness of their union city location this place did not cut it for me. I believe a dining experience encompasses more than just the food

Nonetheless the food was tasty but I left I promptly. I ordered the dorado crab, gobernador shrimp and fish tacos. The spicy sauces were missing though, not sure of this location doesn’t offer them or if I had to ask for them separately.

also I agree with another reviewer, the dorado crab was a tad too oily...

Wow! Had to try Chofi’s new spot after falling in love with their food at the Union City location. The seafood menu is amazing! We loved the crab taco, shrimp cocktail, tostada and aquachilie. Everything was refreshing and light, perfect for lunch before the beach or dinner after. As always their tacos do not disappoint, the homemade tortillas are out of this world! The fish taco was really special and delicious. We will definitely be back. Congratulations on another...

Best. Tacos. Ever. Not only was everything delicious and authentic, but I called at 7:48pm (they close at 8), I just got off work, and they let me place a take-out order.
