Taqueria San José — Restaurant in Monmouth

I'm Mexican and my husband is American, we both were so pleased and happy trying this taquería! Staring from the nice service, tortillas flavor are the best around! The salsas are super fresh, tasty and with different levels of spicy, tortilla chips comes nicely warm. For the second time trying this taquería is the best so far! Service was fast and friendly. The tortillas they use on the street tacos were really good. The pastor was tender and flavorful, the lingua was tender and moist just could of had a bit more flavor. I would say they were average. The Barria was dry and lacking. The chips where warm and fresh thin crispy and the salsa was good and fresh. Walked in. Told them I was going to do a to go order and the waiter turned around and left me there. I had to grab my own menu. Then as I stood there the three waiters there saw me and did not ask anything. Two more tables came in and they got helped before me. Truly a lack in all senses.
