Cheng Garden Chinese Food — Restaurant in Monroe Township

We were planning a big party at our HOA and after trying almost a dozen Chinese Restaurants, that did catering, we tried Cheng Garden. We knew we'd found gold when every dish we tested tasted like what we ordered, instead of all having one flavor. The chicken, beef & pork were tender and not fatty, the vegetables were fresh and crispy and the flavors were delightful. They couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant to deal with and their prices were right in line. On the day of the party, all the trays were ready for pick up at the specified time, packed in boxes and piping hot. One box was accidentally left behind and Cheng Garden immediately ran it over. I normally don’t leave reviews but WOW this place has GREAT dinners so far I only had 2 different ones which were Orange Beef which was what I was going to order tonight until a read Luis “FlyGuyLou” Sierra’s review saying they had the best General Tso’s so I gave it a try and wow thank god I did. Easily the best decision of my night, it was lightly breaded to oerfection other chinese places over bread them and it ruins the quality and most times have barely any shrimp but not Cheng Garden. I had a very disappointing experience here. The lady who handed me my order was quite rude, making it clear that my request for a custom order due to dietary restrictions was not welcome. It felt like they were annoyed by a simple request, which was really disheartening. On top of that, the food quality was very poor, lacking both flavor and freshness. If you have any dietary restrictions or are simply looking for good quality food, I’d recommend steering clear of this place.
