Golden City Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Monroe Township

So I figured we give this one a try because I’m getting tired of the same old place that we usually go to and I have to say this is probably one of the best Chinese takeout places in the Monroe area. We called up to order the order came out as accurate as I ordered it they said 25 minutes we were there a little early and everything was ready for us and packed up waiting to go just pretty much fresh off the stove. Location is very convenient right off of spotswood Englishtown Road plenty of parking. Hey do you offer free delivery they also except credit cards anything over a minimum of $10 first impression of walking in the place was extremely clean and A+ plus in my book even the kitchen behind the counter the stove the range everything was extremely clean we were greeted with a smile and a hello so very good with customer service very friendly people . Orders over $40 I believe you get a free item we did receive one free item and it was the side of a chicken dish. We ordered four different items in each item was just as good as the next if not better we also ordered a couple different appetizers and everything was amazing. This is definitely five stars in my book and I would extremely recommend this...

After spending several months looking for a good place to sate the craving for good Chinese take out, and being disappointed time after time, I finally found the place I was looking for.

As soon as I got home and tasted the Pork Lo Mein, I knew that this place was the one to get it right. You can tell by the texture of the broccoli in all the dishes that this place uses very fresh ingredients.

Not only was everything good, it surpassed my expectations. Do I think this is the best Chinese Takeout to exist in the entire world? Probably not. Is it the best you'll find within a 30 or 40 minute drive? Almost certainly.

I ordered food for my family of five plus my mom and dad last week. I placed one order of steamed mixed Chinese vegetables on brown rice without any sauce. What I received was a mixture of vegetables soaked in sauce, plus within a chunk of vegetables was a staple. The order of shrimp toast was well beyond cooked - very hard, burnt and loaded with oil. My father complained that most of his food had too much oil, including his pork fried rice. We've ordered from there before and each time noticed a change for the worst.
