The Doughfather Pizzeria and Ristorante — Restaurant in Monroe Township

This is probably one of the best pizza places I've ever been to. Everyone here is nice, and while they may have to refer to the owner for prices of items sometimes, the workers know what they're doing. Every food is made fresh, and while that may add to your waiting time, you don't have to eat cold pizza that's been sitting out for however long. The Doughfather's pizza is excellent; it's authentic Italian pizza with just the right amount of softness in the crust and sweetness in the sauce. Fresh basil is used on mostly everything, while most other pizza places would just use something store bought. Their specialty pizzas are just as good as their normal ones; they still have that amazing crust, and the toppings are cooked to perfection. The garlic knots have just the right amount of crisp and softness to them, and their garlic taste is right on point. The owner even threw in a few extra of them for us, even though we only ordered and paid for four of them. If you're looking for dessert for after your meal, then look no further: they have a gelato bar! There are many flavors to choose from such as black cherry, coffee, pistachio, chocolate chip cookie dough, and hazelnut (That's not even all of them!). The texture is so creamy, and it's absolutely delicious. They have just the right amount of both flavor and sweetness. This place is amazing for just starting up (I have a feeling they're going to put someone out of business), and I will definitely come...

My mother and I stopped by to pick up a half white and half pepperoni pineapple. It is absolutely delicious! I have left overs thank God.

Now the price will make you shutter until you pick up your pizza. Their large pie doesn't fit in the box! Also it is not only superb but also beautiful! They take care with presentation and that is important to me. Now the crust is also very good and crispy. I left a picture of how thin the crust is.

Now when we leaving the man who rang us up noted our hesitation about the price and threwin two orders of zeppolis for free!

I give them a full five stars. Now I would note the phone service has much to be improved. Despite my order being delcious it wasn't exactly what I requested. I wanted a half white and half pepperoni and pineapple... Which is usually white on half the pie then pizza sauce, cheese, pineapple, and pepperoni. Not a biggy but the person who took my order was very disoriented it seemed. Once in the store the hospitality was top notch.

Definitely check this place out. Much better than the place...

Everytime I go here or order from here, there is an issue with the order. The first time I went, we asked specifically if the Caeser Wraps had croutons in it and the cashier told us it did. When we got home and opened our wraps, there were no croutons in either of the 2 wraps we got. The wrap also immediatley fell apart and the dressing is very runny and vinegar tasting, I did not even want to finish my food. Still, I gave them another chance. Tonight we ordered the penne vodka, and I wish I took a picture because I have no idea how an italian place could mess up such a simple dish. The sauce had no redness to it at all, no tomato taste. It looked and tasted like mediocre mac and cheese. When you walk in, there is a small seating area for those who want to grab a quick slice, but there are always multiple staff members taking up every table. This place is 3 minutes from my house, and I would still recommend going literally anywhere...
