The restrooms were closed due to being cleaned. Instead of just shutting down 1 restroom at a time, the Wawa employee closed both down. I tired to explain that my mother has a medical condition and she has to use the restroom but employee was very rude to my mother and myself. He spent more time in the custodial closet wasting time then actually cleaning restroom. For some reason he tried to speak slower and louder as if i didnt speak english. I tried to speak with the young cashier lady, but she also said restrooms were closed due to cleaning. I told her my mother has a medical condition and she need to use the restroom. She also was very rude I told her I would wait. She then goes and tells the very rude employee cleaning restroom to take his time! My mother has a bladder problems and these 2 employees refused to let my mother in restroom! After waiting another 10 to 15 mins (he was taking his time very slowly) he mopped the womens restroom then proceeded to mens restroom. Once he finish cleaning mens I asked kindly again "can you please let my mother use the restroom she has health issuses". He screams and says "The restrooms are closed!". I said but you are finished and she needs to go. He then goes to womens restroom opens door and says the restroom is closed floor is still wet and walks off. So at this point I am not going to stand for this any longer i tell my mother to come to me remove sign that says closed and open door for my mother. He quickly runs to door PUSH me just so my mother could not go. I do not move out of doorway and my mother gets to use restroom. To top it off my mother was embrassed from the whole scernio. The cashier girl screams "im calling the cops!" I told her to call them and made sure the gas attendant took my license plate down before I left gas station. I was pushed, screamed at, was treated in the worst possible manner, and my mother was really embrassed due to her health issue. All she wanted to do was use the restroom. I bought gas and a cup of coffee. I am a paying customer was all that called for? To add the male employee cleaning restroom said "the time you have wasted here you could have went somewhere else!" Yelling this. So he really took his time cleaning restroom to be spiteful! My mother and I are not from area and live a hour away. Wawa is a place where I thought travelers go to recharge from long rides. I dont think I have to find another restroom if im already spending money at a location where they have restrooms for customers. My mother has bladder problems and I said this several times to both employees. Discrimation against people with disabilites is what happened at this location Wednesday morning around 12am midnight, March 1st, 2017.
Also just to add, all that time he took to so call clean the restroom. He left hair debris on floor, dust on top of partitions, toilets still had stains on them and vents had a layer of dust. He had already cleaned toilets and sink!?!?!
I'm a account excutive for a cleaning company. Have been doing this for more then 10 years, over 75 employees working under me. He did not clean and if he think he cleaned he needs to be retained ASAP. No gloves were worn while he cleaned. He mopped floor with no gloves. Employee stated we couldnt use restrooms because there is chemical all over restroom but yet smelled like pee mixed moldly water. Dirty mop was used to clean floor and 9 times out of 10 is probably same mop head used to mop store area.
I am sending this to company as well but wanted to let customers know about the discrimation that took place at WaWa Black...
Read moreTell others why you love this place? LOL...because it's Wawa! All joking aside...yes it is Wawa...it's convenient, it's quick, they have pretty much anything you want or need (that can be quite costly though), the food isn't bad and there are a vast variety of choices. The curbside pickup is convenient but there are limits on what you can order...such as 2 liter soda bottles (this Wawa limits your choices to Coke or Diet Coke), milk gallons, and many of the 'create your own' bowls options, choices which are readily available if you order inside. They have adapted well through Covid, requiring masks, have well placed protective barriers to ensure the wellbeing of customers & employees and encourage social distancing with visible signs indicating the suggested six foot distance between customers. Wawa is obviously doing something right, though not usually packed to the rafters with customers, it is always busy and yet you can still be in & out in a...
Read moreYesterday I found a bug crawling in the hoagie they made. I had to throw it in the garbage. Today the gas attendant told me to use another gas pump because the lady at the gas pump I tried to use left her car at the pump while she went shopping in the store. The attendant was in favor of the customer leaving her car there while she was shopping. The gas was done filling up. I waited for a while, then I had to drive around a lot of gas pumps with cars. People need to be more considerate of others. I park in front of the store or the parking by the curb when I shop inside the store. I get my gas before or after. I expect the same from others. Sometimes people have to pay for their gas inside. The last I heard, Wawa puts a $75 or $80 hold on people's card if they pay at the pump. It could be more now that the cost of...
