The last time I went I used a validation code for the Buy Any Sandwich Get One Free on the receipt. I ordered the double quarter pounder with cheese. The girl told me to drive around. At the window I ordered again & she had to get the manager. There was a 3 person huddle before two left & she asked again wat I wanted. I said double quarter pounder with cheese. She then rang up & charged me for a quarter pounder w cheese. I told her this was wrong & she sent me to the next window to fix it. I told the next person she got it wrong & she went & got the manager. The manager, a black lady I don't know the name of, then proceeded to say I cant get the double quarter pounder. I told her it says any sandwich. She then tried to charge me for 2 extra patties. I tried to ask if she could just take the difference between the sandwiches but she started talking loud & fast over me repeatedly so I couldnt ask the question. She was trying to scam me because two extra patties cost more than the difference between the burgers. She started arguing with me & not letting me talk so I said wow you're the manager talking to me like this? She said she can add the patties but I said nah I'll take it. You may see them for a moment if you peer around the counter, furtively shoving food items into a brown paper bag in the back. There are kiosks inside where you can place your order, pay and get your receipt without speaking to anyone. The drive through is automated now, with AI taking your order. If you do get past those first few levels of separation you're greeted with a question, "Are you using our mobile app today?" This means, "have you already ordered online so we don't have to do all that? We'll just throw your bag at you through the window and you can be on your way."
And you know what? I'm here for it. Good job McDonald's. Personally, if I have to talk to an actual person in real life then something has gone wrong. I suggest all fast food restaurants follow suite.

Read moreWe wanted to get a bite to eat here but after the experience we just had we will not choose this location. Why have two drive thru lanes when you're going take orders from one after a certain time. We were sitting there a good 5-8 minutes and after 4 cars went ahead of us in the queue. We finally when to the window to address the issue but the operator was rather rude and condescending towards us about how we should have drove up if no answer from the kiosk in 3 minutes.
I found this visit unprofessional on the operator's part. Like at least let customers know the second kiosk would not be answered after x time or do your job and man both drive thru lanes equally. The operator was snarky and had an attitude when we gave her our time frame of being there and skipped over in queue. Please ensure better.
