I came here to get some desserts for celebrating my wife and friends birthday a few weeks ago. So much to offer here! Food: they primarily focus on small pastries offering dulce de leche and cream filled goods. They also had a dulce de leche Napoleon style treat, which was out of this world, albeit a little messy. Service : I did not get the gentleman’s name who helped me, but he really really polite and very patient with me as I was trying to understand what each pastry had to offer. Aesthetic : there is very few bakeries that I have gone to that have had so much stock in their display casings, and everything looks freshly baked. A few small seats and a lot of room.

I hadn’t been to an Argentine/ Uruguayan bakery since childhood when I lived in Queens. Seeing the traditional foods they serve made me tear up due to the sentimental value these pastries have to me. Then when I ate, it was the most delicious. The zucchini quiche, empanada, elephant ear, iced latte; it was even better than I’ve had growing up. Everything is so fresh and made with love. I called my Uruguayan grandmother and told her I have a place to bring her next. I understand my mother’s obsession with this hidden gem of Montclair.

This is the second location, with a different name, of this amazing South American baker! My ultimate favorite is the fresh bread 🥖 (no preservatives) and their little ham and cheese sandwiches (ask for them warm ) .., of course, if you like sweets … try anything Dulce de leche … you can’t go wrong ! Go and enjoy gif yourself!! 🤩

Montclair is literally drowning in stores selling baked treats now, and I've lived here for decades. So when I tell you that I'm absolutely in LOVE with this new particular bakery, trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I stopped in recently just to sample a couple things because, in my opinion there are 2 things that really separate a true professional bakery from just a shop selling baked items: a good crossaint and an empanada.

The first was so light and airy that it appeared to levitate over the plate into my bag....I honestly don't know how the attendant avoided flinging it across the room. Deliciously, buttery and brushed with the merest suggestion of yummy sweetness on its flaky top. Ask to have it warmed up and with one bite, you'll be instantly transported to a courtyard table in Paris, except the huge size of the thing will remind you you're in America!

The empanada, (I tried the beef) was purchased for my son, who worked for one of the more popular bakeries in town that prides itself on their empanadas. So although I didn't eat it, I smelled the heavenly perfection it was giving when he warmed it up from the fridge, hours later and proclaimed it one of the best he's ever had. He priased the abundant, well seasoned meat encased in its crispy, dome shaped crust...made me almost regret saving it for him.

The inside looks clean and the service was prompt yet friendly. They sell coffee but that's not my ministry so I cannot speak on that. For me, the true superstars are the pastries, so to whomever is at the oven: Well done,...

I constantly visit Artazu Cafe, and I can't stop raving about my experience! This charming spot has quickly become my go-to for a delightful morning pick-me-up.

First off, their cappuccinos are nothing short of exceptional. The baristas craft each cup with precision, creating a rich and creamy texture topped with the perfect amount of froth. The espresso is bold yet smooth, making every sip a true delight. I loved how the flavors balanced beautifully, providing a cozy start to my day.

Now, let's talk about the ham and cheese croissants. These flaky pastries are simply divine! Each bite reveals a warm, gooey blend of savory ham and melted cheese enveloped in perfectly baked, buttery layers. It's the ideal pairing with the cappuccino, and I found myself wanting more long after I finished.

The atmosphere at Artazu is inviting and perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast or catching up with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Artazu Cafe for their amazing cappuccinos and delectable ham and cheese croissants. You won’t be...
