The Pivot Public House by Sand Dunes Recreation — Restaurant in Monte Vista

I was in town for one evening and asked the hotel staff if there was a watering hole within walking distance. One of the staff mentioned The Pivot Public House. A short walk later I walked into a very nice looking establishment. I was greeted by the staff and before I knew it I was sipping on a well made beverage. The bartender made a few food recommendations and I settled on the sliders and fries. I sat and talked to some local people and was able to carry on a conversation even though there was music playing at a respectable level with great quality sound. My food came out and I ordered a second drink. The food was amazing, my second drink was made by a different bartender but was exactly the same. We had an amazing dining experience at The Pivot Public House! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Dwight, the bartender, who was incredibly personable and made sure our drinks were spot-on throughout the evening.

The food was nothing short of delicious. The smash burgers were absolutely the highlight—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We sampled off each others plates so I tried the Charcuterie- delicious Brie with great GF crackers as well as toasted crostini. salmon dip- was really good had just the right amount of Smokey flavor. Corn dip- amazing! But I love corn dip so I’m bias. The sliders-were cooked to perfection! And hard a great sauce on them And last but not least the fries- had really good seasoning on them I could eat several baskets of them!
