Not the most welcoming place I’ve ever stayed. My alternator went out had to stay in town overnight. Called ahead for room availability, they said they had two Queen size or one king size bed for the same price. When I was dropped off by the mechanic it was clear that he did not want me to stay here. To be fair I was a little dirty and needed to shower and just wanted to get some sleep. He gradually acquiesced When he found out I had valid ID and a credit card, and gave me a room with two queens. When I asked for a king size bed he said you have a room with a bed and I should be grateful with that.He then asked me if I want to towels with the room, I don’t know if he was trying to be funny or making a joke. but being tired and wanting a shower I went to the room. The room is very nice and clean, had a microwave and refrigerator. The people upstairs were a little loud and the ceiling creeks quite a bit.The next morning wanting to check out I stood in front of the desk for 15 minutes, not an exaggeration. When the lady finally came over after sitting having breakfast, I had to ask her if she was working the desk she said yes, could she help me. I had given up on this place at that time and left. I’m sure they have cameras with microphones if anybody wants to check the validity of my statements. After reading the other reviews I guess I’m the odd man out. It really is a nice place. the grounds are well-maintained, just not used to being treated like a convict or something you scrape off your shoe.

We had a pleasant stay. Enough parking spaces. Location was good. The desk guy on duty was helpful. No water in the pool, it would be better to put some blinds on the door so it is not so noticeable when coming (pool door is in the lobby on the right). Based on the reviews from Booking, the pool is not accessible for at least 2 years. Our room was right next to the breakfast preparation room, so it was loud in the morning. It was very close to the breakfast area, that's why we heard people, children... Breakfast was almost non-existent. When we arrived at 8am, there were empty trays, no bread or toast, no pastries or muffins.... We waited 10-15 minutes while drinking coffee coffee, but nothing was replenished. We thought of all the previous hotels/motels we stayed in during our road trips in the USA. There was always someone checking if something was missing, cleaning tables, cleaning the floor... We didn't see that here. We left because we didn't have time.

Absolutely love this hotel!! The staff go above and beyond to make your stay a great experience. The housekeeper even remembered what coffee we liked and brought it back to us to make sure we got it. I was shocked. The hotel is modern and has beautiful lobby and breakfast area. The rooms have their own Keurig and pods and are very clean and functional. The bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was well stocked with towels and immaculately clean. All of the staff were more than helpful and always had a smile on their face- a lot of hotels could take a page from this hotel's staff book for customer service. Very nice hotel, excellent staff, great location as you can walk to most restaurants, in a great area in close proximity to Great Sand Dunes National Park. And at least than $300 for two adults for three nights, I consider it a steal. We will be back!

Started off rough...

12 hours of driving with 6 energetic kids. Front desk lady was rude upon checkin and started the night off with a bang. After checking in, we went to get our bags out and let the kids stretch their legs in the parking lot. Front desk lady came to tell us to be quiet. Thought we were doing a good thing by letting them get the wiggles out outside. Then, we were not comfortable where we were parked, have a huge rig with our work gear and didn't want to get jacked. Wanted to park closer to the front. Man at the front desk didn't want us there. Fine. Then kids wanted to swim...it was close to closing but she "let" us swim for 15 minutes. After swimming we checked the beds, as a mom does, for clean sheets. Bunk bed sheet were dirty. Had to ask for clean sheets and change the beds. Seriously, what is going on here?? Rates at $160 and more rudeness than we have ever experienced. I know that a staff can make or break a business...customers that choose to spend their hard earned money with a business should be treated with respect and kindness. This hotel has the potential to be great. It is clean, cozy and unique...but it was ruined by the staff. This place made us feel unwanted and uncomfortable. At checkout, the front desk lady was immersed in a friendly conversation with another staff member and never said thank you, come back or kiss my grits. It was like she just didn't even care. Spend your money elsewhere because they clearly don't care about...

This is a nice hotel but a bit run down. Carpeting in hallways/rooms old and stained. And if you have any luggage, forget about the 2nd floors. Only stairs to second floor were very steep both in lobby and via back entrance. The rear entrance stairs' banister is partially blocked near the top, you cannot hold on. I was surprised! As for the breakfast, a hard pass. Minimal items to chose from and if you arrive at 830a (closes at 930a) don't expect anything but dried up eggs and such that have been sitting in warming pan since 630am. Just disappointing. They should just stop offering continental free breakfast. As for the room, not sure if it was cleaned. Found several items on the carpet, coffee cup half full in microwave. Towels were hard, kind of like sandpaper on skin! We reported the TV issue, kept turning itself off/died a few times. Front desk advised would be fixed before we returned. That same night, TV went wacko again. (Not much TV watching, just like to watch weather/movie before bedtime) On a positive note - Sheets seemed clean, bed and pillows comfy. Staff was polite and efficient. Honestly did not think this place was worth the price paid. Newer hotels in the area at...
