Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Monteagle

Just skip this sonic and thank me later. I am a very patient person and I know occasionally there are going to be issues and long wait times no matter where you go but with this one it's every time!! There is an issue and they don't care and refuse to make an order correct. They will not honor the deals that you get in text.. you wait 25 to 30 minutes on an ice cream and still don't get what you ordered. Today was my last straw went through the drive thru placed order she repeated order to me I get to the window all of my order isn't in the bag I asked where the rest of it is the employee responded I don't know I said there is supposed to be 2 small tots I didn't get any she said she couldn't fix it didn't know how?. You give me 2 orders of tots I paid for them she said I'm sorry I can't fix it on the computer??? Really I mean if you can't get order correct and you can't fix them when you get them wrong and still expecting people to pay for it no and this isn't the first time I have had an issue with this sonic it's all the time and I'm not the only one this happens to. I have been overcharged and my orders wrong they won't honor the deals they advertise They won't correct the orders then you don't need to be working there and they should tell you when you order something they will not honor the deals and not wait until you get to the window and just leave half of your items out of your order but you still have to pay the price just go to another fast food or...

The kids that work at this Sonic location were bright, energetic, courteous and worked diligently the entire time I was there. Ownership and management on the other hand is lacking in common sense, are greedy and misguided. As a restaurant manager myself, one who prides himself on customer satisfaction and profit for the business, I can spot a greedy owner and foolish manager from the parking lot. Two napkins in the bag for a sloppy, loaded double cheeseburger and tots? Well, I asked the young person a few minutes later for an extra napkin or two.... she walked inside, came out and handed me ....one small napkin. I thought at first that the kid may be new, so I said with a chuckle, "could you bring me ONE more next time you come by?". The kid said, "I'm sorry sir, they tell us to only give one, we have to control paper costs. Now I'm all for saving paper costs, I just prefer to do it without a obsession that crosses the line of absurdity and barrels headlong into stupity. Also, asked for a refill on my tea.... TEA!!!....3 cents a cup! Poor girl looked down and said, "We don't do refills". I'm sorry, it's just lousy policy on the part of management and ownership to leave a customer to either purchase another beverage or choke on your very average food. I was craving a cherry creme slush from Sonic! Drive in, saw there were only 7 other cars, thought to myself "cool, this will be quick", parked in a spot, pushed the red button and saw on the screen someone will be with you shortly to take your order... After waiting a few minutes, I thought about pushing the button again, but didn't want to be rude, so I waited - for 20 minutes until the screen went back to "push the button to place your order." Then I remembered another bad experience I'd had at this particular Sonic, so I left and drove all the way to the Manchester Sonic, which is always consistent towards my needs. UPDATE: I gave this Sonic another try and have been back several times since! Good, timely, friendly service! The cherry cream slushes I love are fantastic!! But the biggest kudos goes to the fact they haven't become greedy like other Sonics I've been to. At 2 others, they've reduced the sizes grossly! Now, a large is a medium for the same price at 2 other sonics I visited, but not this one. Good work, Sonic of Monteagle, Tn!
