Garcia's Tacos — Restaurant in Montebello

I made a very big mistake ordering shrimp soup. Don't know if the cook had lack of understanding on how to thoroughly clean shrimp or maybe my mom and myself have just always been extremely thorough at cleaning seafood. The shrimp soup in my opinion was overpriced for what I got and I don't mind paying for seafood I know typically it's expensive but this was below average. The carrots, the tomatoes, and whatever other green was in there almost tasted like if they were in a can. The soup was very plain flavor wise. The shrimp was thoroughly cooked as it doesn't really take much to boil shrimp however cutting the tip of the head slightly back does not necessarily mean the shrimp is clean and I did not expect to be cleaning my shrimp prior to eating it while eating it. So just as a heads up I'm sure that they have other plates that are great and they do good maybe "Tacos" but do yourself a favor don't order shrimp soup. By the way six wrench was all that was in there and the soup plus a sangria was $18.75. the cashier/waitress was very nice and attentive on the place was pretty clean the bathroom was decent as well. Let's say my conclusion on this is that I stand neutral they could definitely do better on the shrimp soup but I'm sure they have other things that are better...

This was my first time here since they opened and it just so happens to be the only place to eat around me that is open today on Christmas. I live right down the street and I have been anxious to try the food. My first thought as I walked in was that it was clean and busy good signs. Then I make my way to the woman at the register she was friendly. So I order three tacos and a drink I sit down and wait as I look around everyone has chips and salsa so I begin to wonder if I will get any too since I am a customer too and as I continue to sit and wait nothing comes my way finally after a few minutes my food gets to me still no chips and salsa 😑 so I ask if I get chips and salsa s to the waitress said yes and quickly brought some so I begin to eat my tacos and I take my first bite and my food is not hot it was pretty warm but far from hot ot off the grill so I'm sitting here writing this review because I am upset and I'm still going to eat my food because I hate when I complain about my food not meeting my expectations and I get dirty looks and attitude from the workers from this establishment this will be my first and last time here. One more thing the al pastor meat does not taste...

What an embarrassment! Hired them to CATER for a party of 100 people at a garden facility we rented. They NEVER showed. WE’VE USED THEM FOR YEARS! One hour after they were supposed to be serving they didn’t have the decency to call. We called them and they said they were running late. We kept calling and kept getting a busy signal ….Still expecting them to come. At least if they’d told us they weren’t coming we could have ordered something half decent. Instead, they left us hanging! We were handing out pizza as the doors were closing. They’ve lost our respect and a lot of business! I would NOT recommend them to anyone that needs...
