Simply disappointed - heard great things about this place and was thrilled to have my 1st experience with them. The atmosphere was what you expect when entering a Mexicana restuarant: Pictures of food, a quick history of the place on the wall, banners streamed with alcoholic associates. My view continues into the kitchen with a glass wall, showing me the process of making the food. I was truly enjoying myself (pictures below). I purchased the daily special thinking it was a great bargain (3 taquitos for $4 + tax).... Now time to eat, I open my box and what I thought I saw was a salad (pictures below). I thought there was a mistake however, I peeled away the layers and noticed a taquito. I grabbed it and thought it was a good size, little did I realize it was 2 taquitos together. I was so bummed out and disappointed, for about $5 more I could've gone to Alberto's and got 10 decent sized taquitos. I'm sorry to say that the food is not worth the price nor my time. La Bufadora service at 2809 Via Campo Unit H. In Montebello, CA. 90640. The service or lack of service could be better!!! On August 9, 2023, at about 02:10 p.m. Our office party experienced an insulting service over a cup on that day. A member of our party inadvertently placed their beer into one of the cups intended for the soft drink; on noticing the mistake, we asked for another cup. The La Bufadora cash register and the manager wanted to charge our party an extra soft drink and cup. She said they could not replace the cup the beer was placed in with another cup. The Bufadora staff proceeded put the beer into two small water cups, rinse out the cup, and gave it back to us for the soft drink. Was so delicious!! Went to get some tacos for home, and since my dumba$$ was thinking today was Friday instead of Saturday I ordered shrimp tacos and they're the Saturday special, n I kept saying shrimp tacos.... 🤣 sorry bout that. But the tacos are fire! Hella great!! Fulfilling too!!!
