To begin with the line was a little long but it was because they just opened the restaurant so it was a good reason and while I was waiting in the line I could see the chefs freshly cooking and even flaming the food it had a vast variety of food and was pretty entertaining just looking at them cook another thing was the circle where the cooks were around it making the food as well as soon as I saw that I wanted to go there but one thing that really caught my eye was the sushi as soon as I saw it I had to get some and I got one Sushi of every single flavor and my favorite one that I would 100% recommend is the cheese cream one there was also this other one that looked like it had orange in it but I do not know exactly what that orange thing inside of the sushi was but it was really good and had really good texture and flavor every single piece of sushi was really good there was also this sauce that I'm pretty sure it's called spicy mayo and was also really good too I like the fact that you could just grab the sauce and put as much as you want on your plate after trying every single sushi they had I got a tiny bit of all the food they had as well and I have absolutely no complaints for any of it the one thing I didn't try was the salad bar because well salad isn't really something you can mess up it's just salad but after trying basically everything I had to go to the last thing which was the circle that is really hot where the chefs would stand around it and cook the food that you gave them it was really good all the ingredients were fresh and you even get to choose how much seasoning you want in your food all the cooks do is just grab the plate that you give them put it on there and cook it they don't season it you do so you get to choose exactly how much you want
After all this I would give this restaurant a good 10 out of 10 especially with a sushi and also the desserts were...
Read moreAs of late March 2025 the Paradise Buffet has received a B rating by the los Angeles county public health
B - Safety food rating. I have since changed my review from 5 stars to 1 star
Any restaurant or place that doesn't have an A star does not reserve 5 stars
I was a bit cautious going to the paradise buffet (where the old yucky hometown buffet used to be) but i gotta say i enjoyed going.
I was looking forward to "buffet" style and quality of food but many items were tasty
I like that you can see the workers prepping a and making some of the food right in front of you
The Mongolian bbq is a popular destination. However, I'm not sure if raw pork, chicken, and beef should be that close to each other
I think that's the perfect place for cross contamination? Or is it ok if they are all raw. I feel Gordon Ramsay would have something to say? O_o
Service was great with lots of staff ready to help and constantly standing by to pick up dishes and serve coffee.
Overall It was a really good experience. Better than other buffets and i can see why the reviews are currently 4.5
Bathrooms were also pleasantly Clean! Only down side is the amount of people they allow in and no hand sanitizer stations offered.
Everyone uses the same tonsils and that's sketch. I didn't see staff wipe or exchange them in the approximately 2 hours i was there and plates are all stacked in some ground platform?
Also one of the forks i got was clearly dirty so i was like uhh.....i guess I'll grab another one?
Place looks clean and overall a much better upgrade to the horrible reviews from tht old establishment that used to be here
Anyone else? Agree, or disagree with my short summary of...

Not a bad selection of dessert items. Food choices weren't bad either. You have an assortment of sushi 🍣, but no sashimi. The rolls, I'm normally not into. It's just rice with a slight bit of something on top drowned in sauce, so it was standard. Most buffet sushi aren't that much better than grocery store quality, but this is better. At the sushi station, the boss-guy was trying to look to the lady in Spanish, but she told him straight up, so couldn't understand him. Not sure if he was being mean and stern, or concerningly stern. Eventually, she was able to figure out what he was saying. Anyways, their fried chicken was OK. Most other places are super dry after a while, but when I got here, it wasn't at that point. Just a bit dry, but not too much. The fried crunchiness of the crust is still there. The unique thing is they have a 'Mongolian' grill. My friend recommended getting two bowls, one for all the meat, and then he other for the noodles. I just added some Chilli oil, but this is the first time I've done this. Next time, I would've added just a bit more of the powdered seasonings, and a bit more soy sauce for flavoring. But still, not bad. Most other similar type of grills have 2 or 3 people moving things around the circular grill, but on the weekday lunch I was there, it was just one lady. So no ring-around-the-posy cooking. If there was not though, I'm sure I would've had more seasonings and flavors picking up from the grill, than if it just sat there. Overall, reasonable...
