La Enchilada Mexican Food — Restaurant in Montebello

My hubby tried this place out during lunch time one day and he brought back an asada burrito for me to try knowing I'd love it. Sure enough, after the first couple of bites I knew this would be a spot we would frequent thereafter. We live on the other side of town, but have been back since my first bite to try the burrito enchilada and a few tacos of cabeza, chicken and asada. All were equally delicious. I also enjoyed their salsa verde, zesty and more on the cilantro herby side of taste. The burrito enchilada was heavy on the sour cream, but we know to ask for less next time. The wait time was a bit lengthy, but I appreciated the cleanliness and how spacious the restaurant is. We'll be back to try the other delicious items...

I recently visited and had high hopes based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet expectations. We tried the enchilada plates, sopes, and ordered extra rice and beans. While the flavors weren’t as authentic as we hoped, it was clear the restaurant is trying to deliver a good experience. The enchiladas could have used a bit more sauce and cheese, and the meat inside wasn’t as shredded as we’re used to, which made them a bit dry. The chips were a nice touch, though they tasted a bit stale, and perhaps could benefit from being fresher. Despite this, I’m sure with a little tweaking, they can improve the flavor and freshness of their dishes. Looking forward to seeing how...

I called ahead to order two burritos since I know it can take a while to wait. Drive over and got there within 20 minutes of calling. Paid and sat down figuring it was still being made since they didn't give me my order. Waited about another 20 minutes with food going out and people leaving with food after coming in after me. I go up to ask em where's my food, and the guy working just casually pulls it out from under the counter. IT WAS READY THE ENTIRE TIME AND HE SAW ME WAITING PATIENTLY FOR IT, BUT DIDN'T GIVE ME MY FOOD!! Terrible customer service. Oh and to top it off, the order was wrong. All they said...
