Jay's Pizza — Restaurant in Monterey Park

I’ve ordered from here twice now and let me just say both times the pizza was spot on. Hot, cheesy, flavorful… exactly what you want when you’re craving the real deal. Ordering online was a breeze, and my food was ready right when I walked in no waiting around, which is always a win. I’ve been on the hunt for a solid mom-and-pop pizza spot nearby, and I’m pretty happy I stumbled across this one. I can’t speak for the dine-in experience (haven’t sat down yet), but from my quick pickups, the lady at the counter seems friendly enough. Definitely feels like a family-run place, which makes it all the more worth supporting. Last time, I grabbed cheese sticks, jalapeño poppers, and a pepperoni pizza everything was delicious. No complaints… okay, well, maybe one: now I’m craving it again. Guess I’ll “suffer” and order from them again...

On Saturday, my wife and I took our kids to Montebello Barnyard Zoo. We were all looking for a good pizza spot to dine in. My wife came up on Jay's Pizza on Google Map. Only 2.3 miles away from Petting Farm.

As we got inside, the cashier was downright friendly and cool. Even his phone answering was genuine, respectful, and nice. Seemed like he enjoyed his job.

Our food came out and the waitress/employee was very nice and caring. My daughter was getting upset cause she was very hungry. We were really blown away from the taste and quality of ingredients. My kids even asked me to order (3) more order of mozzarella sticks. We took the leftovers and finished that night.

This place is little far from OC. But, I will try to come back often. This place taste will be in my long term memory...just like my childhood...

Ordered Large size pizza in 2-different flavors: Meat Lovers & Supreme. Actually it’s not much of diff in b-tween, except bell peppers, onions n mushroom, olives in Supreme. I prefer the Supreme w/ some moist juicy tasty bites from the veggies. Overall the topping is fresh which bring out a good flavor to it. Pizza dough itself is a bit too soft more like a bread, as I prefer a little more chewy texture. It’s 3.8.

This is my very 1st time trying out based on my pizza searching when this local hole n wall spot pup up w/ a high rating score. It doesn’t even look like this business is open, as all the windows are closed, even it’s hard to find the entrance when there’s no Open sign. Cashier guy is not so friendly nor attentive. I imaging he’s from the owners...
