Terrible Customer Service. Last night the server, Tiara, led my mother, my 2 kids & me to a dimly lit corner table. My friend joined us later. When my friend got up she tripped over a broom & dustpan that was leaning against the wall right next to the table. There was no space to avoid it-the wall was a foot away. No one expected a broom to be there! She was lucky she stepped over it getting to her seat, but lightning didn't strike twice as she got up to leave it. She hit the floor hard & needed a moment to recover. The server quickly called over the manager, an older guy with gray hair, & he asked if my friend was allright while removing the cleaning instruments & confirming they shouldn't have been stored there. Another male server came over & just stood there asking if my friend needed help while we were actually helping her to her feet. My mom quipped "free meal", & the manager shot her a dirty look & hurried away. Later my mom got up & nearly slipped on the slick floor, which Tiara saw. She rushed over & joked we had to be careful since "y'all dropping like flies." Not only did they make fun of an injury their negligence caused & they did nothing but stand there as we handled it ourselves, but they didn't even try to make amends by at least comping my friend's meal! They clearly don't care about their customers. Plus their food wasn't all that-the kids' alfredo was bland & ice cold, you could get better mozzarella sticks from the freezer aisle, & their "loaded" waffle fries were overcooked & only had a few specks of bacon drowned in tasteless white sauce. They'll never get another...

A manager there. An older black man. I asked the waitress his name she said it was Stan. As we were trying to enjoy our meal. Stan was screaming at staff it was awful. That man needs to be fired on the spot. It was a disgrace to sit there with my husband and children to hear the words out of that man’s mouth. The whole time he was there he did not do a thing. I work for QA, and this store would not pass in my book. Stan , you need to be fired !! You have zero management skills. I wil be making a strong complaint with corporate. We actually took a video. It’s going to go viral. Atlanta highway Applebees is NOT the place to go. Swearing at your staff in front of my children!! They even had a special ed girl there working (kiddos to Applebees for that ) until she got the rath of Stan. Stan You are a terrible human being. You do not belong in the service industry. I am going to personally request inspection on this store. And the bathrooms !! No toilet paper. Stan instead of yelling at people and sitting at the bar you should be managing I assume this location will let anyone manage. I cannot wait to walk in with my I pad and give you the score you deserve. Trust me , This far from over. Just an FYI… your scores are public knowledge. My husband nearly got up to tell him what he thought. I stopped him. Again, like I said , I have a much better plan. See you soon !! 🚨UPDATE🚨 Decided to give this place a revisit with some friends. We were seated quickly but service was very slow regarding everything else. Not a busy lunch time, restaurant wasn't very busy; yet our server didn't seem present at all. When drinks were finally brought around, we were left without straws for some time. Our appetizer was good but everything else had something wrong with it. We had no silverware for 15 minutes after our entreés were delivered and were told there was no clean silverware, so we had to make do with plastic to-go utensils. I ordered a dish with NO tomatoes, had the server reiterate that special request back to me, and STILL received a pile of tomatoes on my food. My partner was never asked her preferred doneness for her steak so they cooked it extra well done; Michelin-style. Our friends ordered honey pepper mac-n-cheese and received three small dry nuggets with no sauce. None of our food was particularly flavourful.
