BTOPSPOT — Restaurant in Montgomery

Detailed Review Time- My coworker and I called in an order 25 minutes prior to arrival. The food was not ready when we got there. There were also other ppl waiting that had been there prior to us.

Recommendation to customers- place your order at least 40 min ahead. Recommendation for BTOP- Provide a better estimate of time when ppl should arrive.

Food- Our ticket consisted of crab claws which were overcooked and burnt, fries that tasted old, fat hard wings, corn on the cob appetizer which was okay, and a Philly chicken sandwich which was nasty. When I say I am a foodie and explore many different places, I know good food and this was not it!! Recommendation for BTOP - get a new cook asap!!

Price - Totally overpriced for the lack of quality of food being provided. Our ticket was $100.00. They add a delivery fee of 10 % when you are placing a to go order even though you are coming to pick it up. Additionally, 10 % is way too high for a delivery fee if you are not delivering the food. An additional $19 was added to our bill for calling it in. Recommendation for BTOP - tell ppl upfront that there will be a delivery fee of 10% added on to their tab when ordering over phone.

Customer Service- piss poor!! I’m big on customer service above all things. All the food was nasty but customer service would have made up for the low quality food. We had placed an order over the phone for a chicken philly. While waiting on our food, 30 min later the waiter comes out saying sorry our truck ain’t here yet but we made you a steak Philly instead like we were supposed to be okay with that. If I wanted steak I would have ordered steak 👊🏽 At this time we were eating the food that they brought out little by little and were disappointed and just told them not to worry about the Philly and we would take a refund for that. We are waiting 20 min for a refund all for them to be in the back remaking the chicken Philly. I guess the truck came 😞 They said because it had already been paid for they had to remake it. To add insult to injury, the server was unapologetic about their mistake and not once did the manager have the decency to come up front. At this point I didn’t have the strength to talk to a manager . I just wanted to leave.

Recommendation for BTOP - Fire ppl that do not possess the same morals as you. It will be the downfall of your business. Managers come out and check on your customers. These young folks do not care how your customers feel.

I’m not here to condemn, but to help you correct this situation before you receive more reviews as such. Start over tomorrow with the above mentioned recommendations.

A customer that will...

I’ve passed this place a million times and am blown away that I waited so long to give them a try! On the outside, it looks like your typical hole in the wall, but the inside floored me! I visited on this rainy Saturday morning with a friend who couldn’t resist passing again. We came and and no one was sitting inside to eat, but Ms. Diane assured us that we could sit for a while. We did, and ordered breakfast - I ordered the catfish and grits and my friend ordered the shrimp and grits. My goodness. EVERYTHING WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION. We just KNEW somebody’s grandma and auntie was heading the kitchen. To our surprise, two young men came out (one who was celebrating his birthday). We had to pay compliments! The food was incredibly made! Ms. Diane’s customer service was above and beyond. She made sure we had everything we needed all while meeting the needs of every customer that came in - and there were plenty. She had time for us all! It seemed as if this business works to make everybody feel like they’re at home. And it’s such a beautifully decorated place.

I could go on and on about the exceptional food (and I plan to with everyone I know)! The highlight is also some of the BEST customer service we received! Ms. Diane and the two men were so friendly, prompt, and just a pleasure to be around! If I had to sum this lengthy review up, it’d be to say that the food, the atmosphere, and the people working there are not only the best parts of black excellence—the B Top is pure...

This place is black owned, Amazing!!♥️ It was My husband and I first time going here, really really nice set up!!! I love the color scheme and hands down the mirrors and lounge space adds an extra ump to the place with a great selection of music, food, as well as TV entertainment. Okay on to the dislike part but not bad though, I had the mild wings which were Bomb!!, Sauce taste superb and the BTop loaded fries. I just didn't like the nacho cheese on the fries, I thought it was just regular shredded cheese but it looks like both, just a bit much. Although my fries where drenched in cheese I'm still going back, I just know what to ask for next time. I definitely recommend this place to dine in with friends and/or significant others for that sexy vibe kind of feel as well as kid friendly. Overall...
