Chappy's Deli - Baptist Express — Restaurant in Montgomery

I enjoy my experience of eating here, but because I work here I eat here more than often than other people. Food is usually good when they make it right. They have some dishes that they just do well with. But sometimes they're just seems to be a miscommunication from the ladies who take your order and the people in the back making the food. We have ordered butter biscuit with sausage on the side and only get the buttered biscuit. Ordered pecan waffle and got pancakes with pecan. Sometimes you don't get your grits that you ordered. Sometimes the grits are very clumpy. We have ordered breakfasts with brown toast and get it with no toast. The hamburgers always seem to come out right every time though. So there's that. You have to ask for your french fries to be extra crispy or they will come out soggy and then they put them in a bag that consist of paper and plastic which makes them soggy by the time you get back to whatever room you're going to eat them with. We always ask for extra crispy and 99% of the time that's the way we get them long as you order them and open the bag of fries up to air out before you go back to where you're going. I've eaten at the other chappys around town and this is just not an issue it just seems to be something with the hospital. One of our co-workers orders omelettes all the time and ask for shredded cheese and they always put a single sliced cheese on there. I do not understand how hard it is to comprehend that you want shredded cheese and not a slice of cheese. It's just little things like that that make it almost unbearable to go down there because you have to check every piece of food you get and you just don't feel comfortable doing that in front of everyone that works there because you just feel like it should be right. Well I order from Perry Hill Road location all the but today when ordering Grub Hub our food came from the Baptist South Location which was a waste of our time & money...Upon food being delivered the Grub Hub driver called stating that they were out of cheese for one of our sandwiches OK so when we got our food our order was COMPLETELY WRONG AND COLD so we called the restaurant to state the issues with our food the young lady proceeded to argue with that I wasn't charged for my missing & incorrect Items so when I went back to my order on my phone & read it to her she then stated that the reason we got all wrong food is because the Grub Hub driver called out our order wrong which I feel is complete bullcrap since when do restaurant let Grub Hub driver call out a customer order that order should have been read off a screen and prepared as such sobi asked her why would you guys just let the driver tell you guys what a customer order because they could call out anything or something we didn't order she said wrll we don't have a screen to look at orders while being very argumentive and not apologizing not once mibd you I told her we were a business and this was our lunch still no apologies so I then asked for the manager name and wasn't even compensated for our whole order being wrong and COLD but to say the least PLEASE DONT EAT HERE ITS HORRIBLE IM NEVER EATING AT THR...

I don't know if Chappy's has lowered their standards in general or if it's just this location. I give 2 stars bc the sandwich I had for lunch was pretty good. However the bagel I had for breakfast looked like it was flattened before being burned and for some reason i also received a side of toast that I didn't order. I didn't eat it so it doesn't matter but just noted that it was barely warm. The cleanliness and service at this location is the problem. Tables feel like they've been wiped with dirty rags - not sticky but def not clean - The staff is borderline rude. Watched a manager or possibly owner interact with 2 other guests who had very minor issues with their order. He was clearly annoyed and was very dismissive with both of them.
