My husband and I went to this store early in the morning. I got 1 fuzzy squash from the produce section. In the squash section, the price is listed as $0.99 / lb, but right after checking out and getting the receipt, I noticed that the cashier scanned it as $1.99 / lb instead. Iโm still at the store so I notified the cashier that the store has it listed as $0.99 / lb and showed the cashier the picture of the price section I had taken while shopping. Iโm not sure if the cashier understood but she said that the price of the squash is $1.99 / lb. I then told her that I want to return the squash.
The cashier then took the squash and brought it to the Asian man employee (manager?) to refund. I told my husband to give the Asian man the receipt so he can refund it (after all, whenever you do a refund at a business, they ask for the receipt right?). The Asian employee asked my husband why was there 2 receipts (we the customer had the original receipt that the cashier gave us and the 2nd one might have been a newer one that he himself printed afterwards, Iโm not sure.).
Then instead of talking with my husband and continuing with completing the refund with him, he leaves his office and all of a sudden the Asian employee started to yell at me in a loud voice saying heโs going to refund my money back etc. Itโs early in the morning and he is yelling loud in the store in front of over 20 or so people (customers and employees). I was not rushing him or anything, only making sure that he, the employee or whatever, had the grocery receipt so that he can complete the refund.
I have gone to this store multiple times for over a decade, and I have often noticed that the price that they have listed for produce sometimes differs from what the cashier puts into the checkout system when scanning. I didnโt do anything wrong, Iโm over 50 years old, so to get spoken to in a loud yelling voice early in the morning makes me quite angry and this is not a good way to treat your customers.
I have also included a picture of the pricing of the squash section. As you can see, it shows that both Bangli & Fuzzy Squash is 99 cents a lb. It is the responsibility of the business to ensure that the pricing that they have on their products is correct. If itโs not and the customer wants to do a return / refund, then calmly accept it instead of being bitter about it and acting as if itโs the...

ย ย ย Read moreI love the place because I feel as if I'm grocery shopping from all the different types of food from almost around the whole world! They were selling blue crab one day and they were very much alive in one of the biggest cooler I have ever seen! I was able to educate my son alot further since they were moving and up close and personal. The cashier's and buggy guys had work ethic that is very hard to find these days! They took the initiative to do thier job right and would jump in to help bag up or check out customers when the lines got a little longer. I tell you what though a long line at capital market doesn't stand a chance of getting bigger and longer they make very sure to keep people happy and out the...
