As a business owner who loves good food and making clients happy, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect restaurant that serves delicious meals in a friendly place. My recent visit to Crazy Crab Restaurant, nestled just a 15-minute drive from our business near the state capitol in Montgomery, proved to be an outstanding choice for a business dinner with clients.
From the moment we walked into Crazy Crab, it was clear that this wasn't just any regular restaurant. The smells and vibes were like stepping into the heart of Louisiana's tasty Cajun cooking.
We kicked off our evening with a selection of beer and crab cakes that were a hit with everyone. These crab cakes were cooked just right and bursting with flavor, getting a perfect score of 10 out of 10 from all of us. The cajun broccoli, which we had alongside the crab cakes, was a nice match showcasing the restaurant's ability to infuse even the simplest of ingredients with a burst of Cajun flair.
However, the highlight of our dinner was undeniably the Crazy Crab Special—a feast fit for royalty. This sumptuous offering left us awe-struck with its bounty of flavors and textures. From the succulent snow crab and Dungeness crab clusters to the regal king crab and the luxurious 6-ounce lobster tail, every element of the dish spoke of freshness and quality. The accompaniments of shrimp, crawfish, and sausage provided a delightful medley of tastes that celebrated the essence of Cajun cuisine.
What really blew me away was how much food there was in the Crazy Crab Special. Even though we were five hungry folks, we couldn't finish it all! It was the perfect icebreaker for our business dinner, helping us all relax and enjoy the meal together.
My clients were just as impressed as I was. They couldn't stop talking about how good the seafood was and how much they liked the restaurant's cozy feel. We all agreed that Crazy Crab would be our first choice for future business dinners.
Now, I'm already looking forward to celebrating my wife's birthday at Crazy Crab. I can't wait to dive into their tasty dishes and soak in the friendly atmosphere once again.
To wrap it up, Crazy Crab Restaurant went above and beyond what I expected. Their commitment to serving up real Cajun flavors in a laid-back setting makes them the perfect spot for any occasion. Me and my clients have found our new favorite place to eat in Montgomery, and it's all thanks to the great food and good times...
Read moreWe went there last Saturday night and it was delicious! Prices are about the same for every place you go. The owner came out and asked us how everything was several times which was very nice. They have several beers on tap and they have beers in the bottle! The waitresses were very nice and was always willing to help you with whatever you need. But try these guys out and give them some love! Bathrooms are very clean as you can see in the photos that I posted! They give you a bib and a set of gloves and I would recommend bringing your own set of crab leg crackers and the knife that cuts into the crab legs. They will provide them but they don't do it for everybody unless you ask because so many people are stealing their utensils. Please don't do this and bring your own or correct with your teeth and have a great time! The whole restaurant is super clean. Beware that there is a button on the table for you to call for service! A lot of people don't understand this and complain about their waitress or waiter not coming to the table but that's what the button is for. Feel free to hit it and they will come when you do. Just keep this in mind because that is how they do it at this restaurant and many other Korean restaurants. If you know you know and now you know. So hit that button to get your waitress back to your table and she will take care of all your needs. No point in complain about it because that's the way it is. They may not tell you but when you see the button and you hit it you know. Enjoy and give these people some love because this...
Read moreValentine's Day, 2025 (also my birthday). Not many people were there when I arrived at about 4:30 p.m. I was seated promptly and ordered shortly after.
I ordered one of the boiled seafood combos, E6 I believe it was. I ordered the "Hot" version with the "crazy sauce", which I think is a combo of some of the other spices offered. It arrived hot and fresh, in a bag, that I untied and poured into a larger dish to eat from. It was all pretty good. The clams I ordered had no clam meat in any of the shells. I had to sift through the sauce to find about 5 tiny pieces of meat. That's OK, as the crab and shrimp were what I was looking forward to most. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce, but it was good. I ate everything but the corn that was in it.
The waitress that took my order and dropped my order off at my table never returned once during my entire dining experience. I was there about an hour and a half or so. At one point, about an hour in, the table next to me's waitress asked if I was ok, did I need a refill. I obliged and she brought me a refill. Other than that, there was no wait staff interaction with me for the entirety of my visit. I only tipped $5 on about an $80 tab, for that reason. I'm usually a pretty great tipper, but I believed that "tip" is earned, not to just be expected. Especially for next to no "service".
The lack of service is a top reason I would probably look elsewhere the next time I'm looking to dine in for...
