Hardee’s — Restaurant in Montgomery

Being a Texan, I’ve always had a soft spot for Whataburger. So when I heard one was coming to Montgomery, I was excited. At first, it lived up to expectations—but over time, the quality and service declined. Eventually, I gave up on my beloved WB entirely.

Fast forward a year, and I found myself reluctantly trying Hardee’s for breakfast, simply because I refused to give any more money to the local WB. That decision turned out to be the best one I’ve made in a while.

From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the absolutely fantastic service. Every employee I encountered was smiling, upbeat, and genuinely friendly. It felt like I’d stepped into a time machine—back to an era where customer service actually mattered and guests were truly appreciated.

And the food? Delicious. Consistently hot, fresh, and well-prepared.

I’ve returned to this Hardee’s many times over the past year, half-expecting things to slip like they did elsewhere—but they never have. The service remains top-notch. The staff still moves with purpose and pride. It’s honestly a monumental feat in the fast food industry, especially around here.

Went this am around 9:00 and the young lady at the drive through did not yell through the intercom, she politely spoke and very friendly, got to the window and the young lady at the window was also very polite and friendly. I spoke to the manager and made her aware of the 2 young ladies because they had excellent customer service skills and needed to be commended for it. The manager was very nice as well and was shocked that someone would take the time to let her know about excellent service!! I will not put the young ladies names on here, but I did call the DM and made him aware as well. The steak with gravy biscuits were delicious as usual!! I grew up on Hardee's and always loved their food, but haven't had it years until now. First, took a long time to receive our food at the drive-thru and when my daughter got her food out... it wasn't hot at all, none of the items were except the fries! Then the fries are hot but taste old and were hard, as if they were sitting out for awhile and they refried them! I got the Hardee's burger (kinda like a big mac sauce on it) DISGUSTING!!!
