This place was suggested to me so I decided to visit today. I placed an order for vegetable eggrolls, pork eggrolls and a large Mangonada I received my beverage shortly after placing and paying for my order. Immediately upon taking a couple of sips my throat began to burn. I then approached the young lady that had taken my order inquiring about possibly swapping my beverage for another because this one burn my throat. She stated, " That's what it's known for." Then asked if someone had suggested that particular drink to me. I replied, "Yes". She told me that I could not swap out the drink because they had already made it, but would give me a discount if I wanted to purchase another flavor. I agreed. She then informed another young lady to assist me with ordering a new drink at a discounted price. Made my selection and when she rung it up, hell, it was almost the same price of the first drink I had bought! I even ordered a small and the discount was for a dollar!!! One dollar! Not even half off! For a customer who had just placed and waiting for an order 5 mintues ago. Absolutely Not! I immediately told her , NOPE, I DIDN'T WANT IT! I didn't leave the restaurant, step out side or away from the register after receiving my drink , as I was waiting for the rest of my order. I was only about to take about 2 sips before this drink began to irritate my throat. They didn't even offer a cup of water. I got the remainder of my order and ask them to discard the beverage. I will not set foot back into this place! BEWARE!! There are no regards for the customers at all. Spend your money were you are appreciated and valued. No humanity here!
Update: I definitely understand that it's the stores discretion on the percentage, that's EXACTLY my point! Again, I encourage customers to patronize where their business is valued and...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a spot in Montgomery that combines comfort food with a welcoming, family-owned atmosphere, Tea Town is a hidden gem worth discovering.
I stopped in for a quick meal and was pleasantly surprised at how fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared everything was. The steamed buns were the highlight of my visit perfectly soft, fluffy, and warm, each filled generously with savory meat, crisp vegetables, and a bright kick of cilantro. The balance of textures and flavors was spot-on: tender protein, crunch from pickled veggies, and that light herbal freshness that kept each bite lively instead of heavy.
To pair with the meal, I went with a brown sugar milk tea with boba, and it was fantastic. The drink was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the pearls were perfectly chewy, clearly fresh, and made with care. It’s the kind of bubble tea that makes you want to linger a little longer just to enjoy it sip by sip.
What makes Tea Town stand out isn’t just the food and drinks, though; it’s the atmosphere. Being family-owned, you can feel the pride and care in every detail. The space is cozy, welcoming, and unpretentious, making it a place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy good food made with heart.
I also learned that Tea Town recently added pho to their menu, and I couldn’t be more excited to try it on my next visit. If it’s anything like the quality of their buns and drinks, I know it’s going to be something special.
Overall, Tea Town delivers both in taste and experience. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or sitting down to enjoy their food, you’ll leave satisfied. Montgomery is lucky to have a spot like this, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
Highly recommended for anyone craving fresh bao, quality bubble tea, and a warm, family-run...
Read moreMy wife and I have been going to Tea Town for months. They have the best boba tea in Montgomery, if not all of Alabama. My favorite is the Flan Coffee.
Those who remember when Saigon Bistro was open, know that well made Vietnamese food is comforting and good for the soul. I've had a hole left in my heart after David and his family closed their restaurant and moved back home.
Tea Town has filled that hole in my heart with delicious boba and handmade, made to order Vietnamese comfort food. Everything on their menu is absolutely delicious. The various boa buns with their little pickled vegetables, to die for. The bahn mi sandwich, elevated to perfection. The crisp freshness of the spring rolls, definitely divine. My absolute favorite is the egg roll vermicelli with its fresh vegetables and housemade fish sauce. Don't even get me started on the noodle soups. Omg, the noodle soups.
If you believe I'm overselling it, go and try it for yourself. If you don't leave satisfied, that's a You problem. Because Tea Town and the family that run the place are the epitome of friendly mom and pop establishment. Eat local and support these businesses. Hopefully they'll be here for many...
