Bubbly Hen — Restaurant in Montgomery

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD Very disappointed in bubbly hen. Waited 30 minutes to be greeted.. when we were finally greeted our server leaned over and said “I’ll be right back in a minute yall” ..yes this was over 30 min after the initial sit down. No table taps by managers..cold food..very poor service. We asked for a manager to help us out who took zero accountability so I can see how this leads to an ineffective team. Our server literally served us a bottle of champagne with no ice bucket. When I asked her about the lack of communication and the long wait times in general she clearly couldn’t comprehend because she was still making excuses about the ice bucket 😩 we asked for another manager, preferably the highest one in the building..we waited 40 extra minutes with no response. Our server came over and said “I don’t know why he won’t come over here” eventually we walked out..the then manager that we asked for chased us down along with the team about “running out on our tab” the money was never an issue. We were all servers at one point and we tip very well! We have all worked high volume restaurants so having empathy for the workers is definitely important to us. We literally waited for an hour for him to come see us. When I communicated this with him he yelled at us at the top of his lungs and said “I HAVE A BUISNESS TO RUN IT DOESN’T REVOLVE AROUND TWO WOMEN” two WOMEN?

woah, a bit misogynistic don’t you think? He never once asked us about our experience or what happened, he just cursed us out, came out with his gang of kitchen workers and accused us of not appreciating the service of his hard working “server” but here’s the funny part..HE BROUGHT THE WRONG SERVER OUTSIDE 😂😂 can you say a joke! If two different servers have tables trying to leave because of ridiculous wait times what does that tell you?! I never had this experience at cork and clever....

This is the second time I visited. Unfortunately I won't be returning. The to go staff was rude a female answered the phone an as I was telling her my order she said hold on. I heard her discussing something with someone in the background then another male picked the phone up he was very short and didn't want to tell me about the signature lattes they offered....I asked he literally said " we have the standard lattes of any coffee shop"...so I had to look up the menu and call back to order the latte. When I came in to pick up my order I see the lady who took my order leaned against the counter chatting she had blond hair 20-30s and the male I spoke with was slightly balding with glasses he also was behind the bar.... he seemed to be in charge he was talking to some one about ordering something. I only ordered 2 eggs with cheese and the latte. Neither were ready when I got there. When I got to the bar and asked about the latte she said " oh I didn't make it yet". The eggs came out before she was done making the latte. I am leaving this review to let the establishment know going the extra mile and being POLITE to returning customers is important in this economy. I travel and I went out of my way to come here it won't come here again. Even when I spoke to the male on the phone I let him know I was a returning customer he still couldn't be bothered to tell me what the signature lattes were. Do better. Oh and it wasn't busy. So there was no reason for the inpatient attitude from the male or female that I spoke to on the phone.

Update: the eggs were horrible and the latte was bitter definitely tasted NOTHING like the drunken waffle I ordered before. The eggs weren't fluffy at all like they were when I visited before they were just a scrambled mess. This place has gone down. I won't ever be back. And I regret going out of my way to...

Long seating time, long wait time for meal, the food was mediocre but high priced, and the managers were extremely micro aggressive to me as a POC and threatened to call the cops on me for a beverage that I didn’t drink. First it took 45-60 minutes just to be seated, even though there was seating available inside and outside. Then once my sister and I were seated, it took another 45 minutes to receive our food. When our food was received we noticed that they gave us the wrong entree and an item was left off of our order, we let the staff know and it took another 20 minutes to receive the correct order after the manager had to intervene. The drink I ordered was terrible so I asked if the waitress could swap it out for a mimosa and she insured that, that wouldn’t be a problem. Once the bill came, I was up charged for “extra” meat on my entree even though I wasn’t supposed to be charged for extra meat, I ask to change out meat for a non pork option and that meat change was not listed on their menu as an up charge nor was I told that changing my meat to a something different would be an up charge and the drink that I hadn’t taken two sips out of was still on my receipt. When I asked could it be taken off, the mangers insisted that even though the drink was still sitting on the table untouched that I had to pay for it. I explained to them that their waitress did not explain that to me and they were extremely rude and threatened to call the police on me if I didn’t pay for an untouched drink. My experience overall was terrible, I do not recommend anyone to dine here, especially if you are a POC or an ally of...
