I gave this place 3 diffrent chances. I will never be returning. The first time I went was during there business hours and when I got there, they were closed. The 2nd time I went again because I have wanting to try them out. When I got there they told me they were selling raw food only, meaning they were no longer cooking and this was around 5 . I finally gave them a chance again today, I told her I wanted a lb of large shrimp which showed $10.99 per lb . when she rung it up, it came to almost $19. I asked her why such a huge jump. She stated it came with egg, corn, and potatoe. I told her I didnโt ask for that and to charge me for what I ask for. It came to $16 ( extra charge for the steam ). After I got my plate, I asked for cocktail sauce and she told me 50cents because I didnโt get the combo. I told her cocktail sauce is for shrimp not egg, corn, or potatoes so why would that matter. Her whole attitude was nasty after I told her I didnโt want the combo and she seemed like she was in a rush . I will never spend my money here again and Iโve been looking for a good seafood spot. If you have time to waste and energy to spare. This is the place for you! The shrimp was definitely not pleasing for the price or hassle! If you can, take the trip to prattville for DJ Seafood ! I will take the ride from now on ! Just make sure you watch what she rings up...

This was once a 5 star review. The guy (whom I think is the owner) is awesome, he's helpful, informative and friendly. HOWEVER, there are a few women around now and the store will lose a customer because those women are rude. J&D is the closest I can get to fresh seafood being a child of the coast living in Montgomery. I'd be fine without if I have to continue dealing with these rude women that are present in the store. I've walked in and walked out because they were there and he's not but I will NOT continue shopping where the employees are rude and unfriendly. Folks need jobs and customer service is a deal breaker.
Update for 7/2018: We tried again, this time for the last time. There is a gentleman there that answers the phone and he is perfectly unprofessionaly, un-friendly, un-welcoming. Each time that I order a specific weight, they always fill my bag with an extra 1/4 to 1/2 pound and charge me. I don't ever say anything but I think it's their way of selling extra. Also, I can't tell for sure because they pull the bag off the scale so quickly, but if I'm looking at the scale correctly, it seems they fudge a little on the actual weight as well. The scale doesn't print out a bill according to weight. They look at the scale and tell you the price. I haven't ever called them out on either of these practices because I like their fresh quality, selections, and don't want to be a Karen just to save a few dollars.
