My experience with this particular Kentucky Fried Chicken resturaunt was quite an experience. One evening, I came upon a desiring for some chicken and mac n cheese. As this KFC was on my route, I stoped by. It was by no means busy, as there were three customers in total, including myself. I order a spicy chicken sandwich, at which they informed me that the chicken would take 5 minutes, and a large side of mac n cheese, at which I was informed that they did nothing t have large sides, even though it was on the menu and they could not possibly have run out. So I ordered my meal, and upon paying I was told to wait out front (I used the drive through on this visit) and waited not five minutes, but a minimum of FIFTEEN MINUTES! I was astounded. There clearly were employees siting around inside doing nothing. On the plus side, the gentleman who brought me my food was quite polite, and I am confident this failure was not due to him. I drove off with my food. The chicken was not covered adequately, but the worst part was, they gave me no fork. As a consequence, I was forced to inhale my mac n cheese, cup to mouth. They also gave me no napkins, so i was forced to use my bag. All in all I think In 1995, a renegade cow, paintbrush in mouth, painted the three words "EAT MOR CHIKIN" on a Texas billboard. From that day forward, the burger-eating landscape was forever changed. These fearless cows, acting in enlightened self-interest, realized that when people eat chicken, they don't eat beef. Today, the cows' herds have increased and their message reaches millions - through television, radio, online, and on the occasional water tower. My experience at this location was underwhelming at best.
The cashier was polite and provided great customer service, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after that. I ordered five $7 meal deals, which came with a free bucket of chicken. I politely asked if I could get drumsticks instead of two of the other pieces. The cashier said it shouldnāt be a problem and that there might be a slight upchargeābut she would need to ask the manager, Miranda.
Hereās where the issue started. The cashier called Miranda over to the counter three times before she finally acknowledged her. When she did come over, Miranda never greeted me or even looked in my direction. The cashier asked about the substitution, and Miranda responded repeatedly, āThe chicken is already packed and sealed,ā without offering any explanation, alternatives, or even basic courtesy. She then turned around and walked back to her office while I was still speakingārolling her eyes and visibly huffing in the process.
To make matters worse, when I got home, I discovered the order wasnāt even correct. Instead of getting two of each piece, I received four breasts and four drumsticks. On top of that, the breading was falling off the chickenāit looked like it had been sitting too long or poorly handled.
This experience felt like a clear example of a manager not wanting to be bothered with customer concerns or even the concerns of her hard working employees, and that kind of dismissive attitude sets a terrible tone for the entire store. Also ordered a 2 piece meal for my mom, with 2 legs and 2 extra mashed potatoes. Was told it would be a 15 minute wait. So I parked. After 20 minutes, someone came out and asked for my receipt. She took it and maybe 5 or so minutes later my order comes out. Asked if the 2 piece and potatoes were in the bag. She said yes ma'am. I leave and get stuck in traffic for a wreck for 30 minutes. Get to my moms house and pull out the bag to give her, hers. I received, a 12 piece bucket, original. Mashed potatoes, Macoroni and cheese, Cole slaw, and 5 Biscuits. That's it. So I gave my mom food out of the bucket. After getting her settled I got home at 6:15. After waiting on the phone to be unbusy, the answered at 6:41. Told me to bring back what I had and they would replace it. That's fine and all, if I didn't live on the other end of Atlanta Highway, If I didn't get stuck behind a wreck, if I wasn't taking care of my mom. I'm tired, it's been a long day. She said bring it tomorrow. Well this was the dinner for my family. I can live with what I got. Husband is sticking the chicken in the over to crisp up. So I won't have it for tomorrow. So I payed over $50 for incorrect, incomplete order. I had to make do. I really just wanted to be refunded for the 2 piece and potatoes. But since I had to feed my family. I get no correction. But she would make it up to us when I came. Not happening, I will never go...
