Mayv1, 2019 Ordered by phone a to go plate with hamburger steak rice and gravy , black eyed peas & cream corn.. cornbread & added sweet potato pie with lg ice sweet tea. VERY VERY nice employees! It's my bad for getting there close to closing. My main problem was too high of expectations that my hamburger steak would be a hand made patty. It looked like what you get when you buy a frozen box of beef patties. Taste was bland unlike if it'd been made fresh and seasoned in house. Also I was expecting brown gravy on it & rice. Not sure what this gravy was but it .... "in my opinion" didn't work with hamburger steak. Cream corn, black eyed Peas & corn bread were very good. Now I added at last minute when I arrived a pc of Sweet potato pie & Sweet tea ... both were perfect. Its been yrs since I've eaten here. As a hospice RN I would stop by when over that way seeing pts. Its been doing something right to have opened in 1983 & still busy at closing on Wednesday night in 2019. Again I couldn't have asked for nicer people to help me. I'll be back & will make sure it's a different menu so I can try different things... but I hope they still have a slice of sweet Potato pie... yummy!

I used to stop by when my grandmother was still living and get her breakfast at times. She used to love their salmon croquettes and grits! But this time, I dined in for lunch, and I got baked chicken, rice, green beans with a corn muffin, and peach cobbler. There was quite a bit of traffic on Fairview while trying to turn in around the 1pm time, so watch for that. Not many guests were in when I came, so there was no line or wait. It was clean inside, and the woman at the counter was nice. I was able to enjoy my meal at a clean table with no complaints, and the peach cobbler was delicious!!

Pierce's Country Cooking is absolutely fantastic! Every dish we tried was unbelievably delicious, and I wish we could have ordered everything on the menu but we left absolutely stuffed! I had the rib dinner with coleslaw and the most amazing potato salad I've ever tasted. My husband enjoyed the fried fish and chicken plate with sweet potatoes and rice. We also shared the baked chicken, banana pudding, and sweet potato pie. It felt like a true home-cooked meal. If you're in Montgomery, Alabama, this is a must-visit spot!

The lady fixing the plates on Monday 10/16 was just flat out rude… not helpful in anyway as far as letting me know the price and etc… only telling me what it wasn’t…I asked about a certain item I heard they had…. And she said only on Monday’s and fridays… ok cool…so I just settled for what they had that day 😒…. I ordered neck bones and rice with collard greens and mashed potatoes…. I told her to add a chicken thigh and she said with an attitude “only Wednesdays and fridays”…. I said oh no ma’am I just asked for a chicken thigh to be added… then she was like “oh” 😒….. so now about the food…. This was my first time at this place… I decided to go based off the reviews and honestly idk what kind of soul food these people are used too… but this place was just not it…. Idc idc idc about history or hype or any of that with this place… the only thing that mattered to me was getting some good food… and they failed miserably… the neckbones were tender and falling off the bone… had a lot of meat on them too… but we’re barely seasoned 😒…. The rice… ewww… just ewwww… tasted like the 1 minute microwaveable rice that be in the little cups in the grocery store… and also lacked flavor… that was a major NO for me…. The greens… the greens the greens!!! Tasted like they just boiled them with a lil salt and vegetable oil…smh….. mashed potatoes were soupy and clearly fresh out of the BOX… there’s nothing wrong with boxed mashed potatoes..but why were they so watery? And again not seasoned…and the audacity of y’all to throw gravy over them 🙆‍♀️….the chicken thigh I ordered with it just didn’t even stand a chance… first bite and it was dry and tasted like left over chicken…. Quick question…. How in the world does fried chicken “taste like the pot”? anybody who knows what I mean knows what I mean… that taste that lingers on the food when a pot is half washed or half rinsed of soap…. Spit it clean out….CORN BREAD WAS PERFECT‼️‼️ BUSSIN BUSSIN… but anyways… I’m not even a difficult person and usually try not to leave terrible reviews but somebody needed to tell y’all this….Now maybe this place was jumping at a point in time…because it’s pretty popular…. But as of 10/16/23 I don’t know what changed… but never again 🗣️‼️ I was so...

This was our first time here and probably my last. First, the lady behind the counter had a very funky attitude! She tried to rush us as we were looking at everything (remind you, nobody else was in the line... or in there). I told the woman in a very pleasant voice that this was our first time here.... she didn't care, kept her rude demeanor. I got the chicken, greens and mac & cheese. My mother received the ribs, coleslaw, corn, and green beans. My daughter didn't want anything because she was turned off by the woman aggressiveness. Also, when the guy at register (also didn't speak, nor gave eye contact) open the container and I noticed the lady put cornbread in there. I asked if there were rolls, he says in a funky way (like the woman) "You Wanna Roll?" I said yes, then turns to the rude lady and says, "she don't want this, she want a roll," very condescending tone. The woman says under her breath, "she shudda said that." She didn't give me a OPTION! Hell, I didn't even see any breads! Ok, the food... chicken bone DRY! NO drop of juice, grease, etc! Mac & cheese was awful, I had one bite and never touched it again. Collards were delicious! My mom liked everything on her plate, I'm glad she enjoyed it, because we won't ever go back. And I've always heard how good the food was here. I'd probably would've given this place another chance if it wasn't for the stank attitude ppl that worked there... minus the nice woman with a smile who told us...

Today was my first time visiting them. I called before I came so that I could double check to make sure Google time frame was correct as far as when it opens and because online I saw lunch food but wanted breakfast. The man that answered the phone seemed agitated that I called. I asked if they sold breakfast and what time they opened. It wasn't a very welcoming call at all. I hung up and proceeded to the restaurant. Curb side wasn't all that appealing but it seemed homey enough and clean once I walked in. There was no crowd and only 2 people inside. There was a small breakfast bar and the food LOOKED good. I got rice, scrambled eggs and conecuh sausage with toast. The rice were cooked well, and were hard to the bite, the eggs also were cooked well but had no flavor or seasoning, the conecuh didn't require any seasoning so it was good and so was the toast. The servers didn't smile and didn't really make eye contact. I was really excited about supporting a black owned business, but this time I was slightly let down. I think more restaurants need to go back to customer service and realize that the way the restaurants are presented and how you treat your customers dictate them returning to support you. Everyday you open your doors you should treat your customers as thought ...
