I had a very uncomfortable experience at this Caribou Coffee location. I came in with my 7-year-old daughter and our 2lb small yorkie puppy (in my purse because she cant walk). The first barista, Adeline, acted strangely from the moment we walked in—no greeting, just a cold stare before disappearing to the back. When she returned, she still didn’t greet us and looked visibly unhappy. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed she might just be tired.
Our simple order took a long time even though there were no customers inside besides one person using a laptop. She continued to prioritize the drive-thru and then disappeared again. Another barista eventually made our drinks and told us, “No dogs allowed, for future reference.”
It was nearly 100 degrees outside, and this treatment left us feeling awkward and hurt. A kind and clear explanation up front would’ve been appreciated—we would’ve respectfully left right away. There was a Starbucks but chose Caribou as we love the cold drinks they have, but sadly this experience ruined our day.
The tone and behavior of the first barista made the experience feel rude, awkward, and frankly discriminatory. This was especially upsetting in front of my young daughter.
To make it more confusing, I later saw a review saying they allow pups and even give out pup cups. The lack of consistency and professionalism is disappointing.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously and offer training or reminders to your staff on how to approach these situations with kindness, clarity, and respect.

Read moreI am a regular at the location near Target and recently had an encounter with a worker where I asked them if they could make my drink (ho ho mint mocha shaker) light on the ice. The lady told me yes- I found out when I went home that over half of my drink was nothing but ice. So I went through the drive thru a second time to let them know I asked for light on the ice only to be prompted by a new lady working there that the drink comes with lots of ice. I told her even if this were the case I still asked for light on the ice and I was told beforehand they could do that. Long story short, I pulled up to the window to receive my drink with less ice only to find out they had put NO coffee in the drink and half of it is foam. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this Caribou location again. We pay A LOT of money for these drinks- they should be exactly as you’d expect especially if they tell you they can make your drink how you want it. Read moreI was there a couple of weeks ago and first of all the service was rude. I had three dogs and my friend had one dog (we went in separately so the dogs wouldn't be left alone.) My friend got a pup cup for her dogs so when I went in and before I paid I asked for 3 pup cups (since it was 3 I thought it would be okay to if I had to pay a little extra.) The told me my friend already got her pup cup. I told him nicely that I have 3 other dogs in the car and he looked at me with disbelief. But he did give them to me. I waited about 10 minutes for my small campfire mocha cooler and when I got it, the order was wrong. Dark chocolate instead of white, and no extra marshmallows (I paid extra) but since I didn't feel like waiting any longer or arguing I just left.
