Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Monticello

1/24/25: Update to my original review and it is worse. This time I ordered via Chipotle’s website. I ordered 4 burrito bowls, a bag of chips with side of salsa, a side order of tortillas, and a beverage. The only thing correct for our pickup order was the beverage, the side of tortillas, and just a side of salsa. NONE of the burrito bowls were correct- in fact two of the burrito bowls had other people’s names on them but I didn’t know that until we got home. I did check the name on the receipt that was on the bag and the first and last name was correct. It’s tough because the food is fine but they just can’t get the orders right. I think you may have to order in person or eat there for this location. It’s a lot of money, time, and gas wasted to continue to receive subpar portions, missing ingredients, incorrect orders, and missing items.

1/9/2025: We ordered from this Chipotle two days ago and it was amazing. It was clean inside, delicious food, and very busy but friendly staff. Tonight we ordered almost the same thing for a pickup and our burritos were pretty small, and my daughter ordered steak bowl that turned out only having one small piece of steak in it. We really think this was a fluke and plan on being back to give another try once things are ironed out (it being a new restaurant in the area). First time customer. Zero star rating. I was afraid to touch the door handled just by looking at how absolutely filthy the windows were, also every single table out side were dirty with leftover food, the grounds area as well. I stepped inside and every table plus the floors were dirty with food. Ive never in my entire life seen such a filthy restaurant. Fast food or not it still needs to be kept up as good as you can in between customers. I ordered my food to go and they were out of stuff even at 12:40 in the afternoon. I went to pay and stood there for 7 mins waiting for a cashier. Once she got there they didn't have any change. I said just keep it, my food was getting cold. I left and saw one couple sitting outside and they too agreed about how messy and dirty everything was. This is a brand new place and it looks like its been here for 20 yrs. That couple was from out of state. Said they've been to other Chipotle restaurants but never seen anything like this. I said Im sorry they had to experience that here in Minnesota and being that this is a new restaurant. Who ever manages this place needs to be trained to be proud of this business so that locals will be happy to come and eat here and give referrals. I could see by the many negative reviews that...

GO TO BLUESTONE!!!!!!!

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with Chipolte. I order a burrito and two bowls. The person making the bowl was extremely slow. When she put the chicken in it was half a scoop. The smallest portion I have ever had. I had been to this chipolte once before and got a small portion and thought it was a fluke as I have never had a poor portion at a Chipolte. Tonight's portion was even worse. I asked politely if I could get just a little more chicken and the older lady working the till snapped at me and said it would cost extra. I said "thats ok." The young girl put a very small amount of extra chicken in the bowl (even less than the first scoop) and asked how that was. I asked if that was double meat and the older lady working the till looked at the bowl and snapped again and said "that is double meat." I was completely appalled at how she snapped. I have never had any issue with Chipolte but I am not impressed at all with the Monticello location. It just solidified my decision to stay with Bluestone. Friendly staff and reasonable portions.

I also asked to have the sour cream on the side, but it never ended up...
