Response to owners update: 3 Negative reviews? It's the same review just on FB. Treat your customers better and they wouldn't be negative. In fact the SECOND one was positive with 4 stars until you accused me of being soooo negative. lol Go cry about it some more? What am i living rent free in your head? Pyscho owners much? Crazy, smdh, over Temu level quality bbq. BTW I left honest reviews on yelp and trip adviser too, so it's more like 5 or 6.

Response to owner: I had 5 star reviews, but after such mid performance and obviously bad customer service I didn't have a choice. People that know me know I don't like giving bad reviews, but I am honest. Sorry your business chooses to operate like that.

Update: Was tempted to come here again, I started reading the reviews and see that the business only responds to positive reviews. I just found that an interesting approach.

I hate giving bad reviews. On this one I'm stuck between 2 or 3 stars. I decided to land on 2. I ordered brisket which is my favorite BBQ item other than true burnt ends.

Food Ordered: Sliced Brisket French Fries (Home Made?) Mac N Cheese BBQ Sauce spicy and sweet

Sliced Brisket This was a huge disappointment. I've had their baked potato with chopped brisket and it was pretty good. However, the sliced brisket was terrible. Overcooked, a bit dry, more brittle than tender, no signature fat. It was about on par with golden corral. The only way I was able to eat this is with their BBQ sauce soaking it.

French Fries - Tastes like Araby's curlly fries. Not bad.

Mac N Cheese - Wow this was the worst Mac I've ever had. If it was home made, then that home needs demolished. Tasted like chalk cheese, there's a powdery texture to it. I didn't expect greatness but wow, it was bad.

Updated my review. Rays pointed out I left them (2) negative reviews. I didn't realize a 4 star review was a negative review! Okay.. Well I updated this review since they left a snide remark on my last one. I make a review per visit.. Apparently at this time I was on a different google account. Ok boss. since you already said it was negative, I fixed it for you.

I'm updating my review. 7/12/2022, visited once again and the visit was flawless. Food has always been good but the execution was always off. I added 3 stars.

Food is actually good but the service and the execution have frustrated me to the point that tonight is my last order. I never can get what I order. I.e. I order a bake potato with brisket, ask for extra butter X4 and extra cheese. Simple things, but never get them. Then I have to go in again, get ignored by staff while my food gets cool. Ray's is the best barbecue around! I love the ribs! They are always thick with meat and so tender they fall off the bone. There is nothing worse than going someplace for ribs and getting a bone with a thin layer of tough meat that you have to gnaw off only to find it is so tough and stringy you can't chew it. Well, I have NEVER had any of those issues at Ray's! Their seasoned green beans are amazing too. The potato salad is a true mustard based salad that is difficult to find anyplace else. It is seasoned perfectly. The icing on the cake is...the icing on the cake! Ray's has THE BEST homemade cakes. You get a huge slab of cake that is never dry and has just the right amount of icing. I suggest trying the strawberry! One piece is the right amount for me, my husband, and my son to share without feeling guilty that we ate cake. 😁 The restaurants are always clean and inviting. Finally, the service is fantastic. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. They truly care that you enjoy your meal and have a good experience.
