It's just eh. Went there the other night and ordered for carry-out. Portions received weren't consistent for multiples of the same dish. Prices are high for the portion sizes. I was offered that I could have lunch size at dinner time (ie not taking garlic bread or salad), but not lunch price...garlic bread received was burnt and under buttery. Taste is ok but not impressive, especially for the price. I asked if we could upgrade our side/house salads that came with the lasagna meals, and the girl helping me had such an attitude when she told me, "We don't do that here." Ok, no big deal...just a question! Yikes. Missing ingredients on our house salads and in our calzones. Yes, I can tell that there actually isn't any cheese or peppers in there! Were charged for an item we did not order and did not receive. Had to travel back after I finally looked at the receipt (math wasn't adding up) to receive a reluctant refund for the overcharge...and I do believe they were hoping I would not catch it. In fact, I think they were trying to overcharge me from the get-go, as the price went down when I removed an item from my order and yet I was still charged for an extra item... Staff are just kids, and the environment felt not good for them. Kind of toxic but also the kids seemed kind of incentivized to be deceptive. They did claim to be understaffed for the girls, apparently who are assigned roles based on gender...either to wash dishes or man the floor...only the guys do the food...a little weird tbh. Staff were randomly running around in a tizzy trying to get last hour tasks done, w/ no other clientele in the restaurant or ordering from carry-out and noone manning the carry-out area consistently. I walked in and waited a rather long time for someone to walk by for me to request my refund. It was just a weird set up on the carry-out side anyway. I honestly can't see this business succeeding for much longer unless they choose to be more customer centered, organized and not so cheap towards food quality. Unfortunately this is only my 2nd visit in as many years, the first had similar results...I thought I'd give it this other try, support a small business. Probably won't again unless there are changes made. It's a shame because there are no other Mooresville small business Italian restaurants to my knowledge. So much...
Read moreFood very good, help not so much. Joe, I have been a carry out customer there for years, lunchtime and weekend carry out. However, tonight I went there to get a slice of pizza like usual and saw the sign on the door, about going to other side door. Well, I had a truck and trailer and parked next to the street. I went in and first saw there was no pizza up front and was told I had to go to the other side. Wait a minute, I’m not driving my truck and trailer to the other door and there was NO reason why one of the 4 girls standing there could not get me a piece of pizza. I was the only customer there, I think one couple at a table by the window. One (employee) was over in a booth, one was at the podium and two standing at counter. When I finally told them I wasn’t going to the other side and what kind of pizza did they have, they reluctantly helped me. I got the runaround that they had to use the “carry out” register and I said, why can’t you just walk (5-6’) over there? Then I paid cash and they used the register in front of me!!!! They said they don’t make the decision. Ok, but can’t you be more helpful? My money spends the same regardless of which register they use. As I was leaving, another customer came in for the same thing, a slice, they said she had to go to other side. I told them, just get her a piece of pizza. Then they went through the register thing again and she said she was paying cash. She left w/ me and got in her car. Don’t know if she went to other side or not. What these girls need to realize is, when we go back to our car to go to the other side, most will not come back. So there goes the customer. I told them they were going to lose business, they just said it wasn’t their decision. I told them to pass it on. I like the food and will come back sometime but not for awhile. Those girls need to act like they care more, they don’t seem to. The counter help is the biggest weakness there. Sorry, but just...
Read morewe ordered on doordash one time and it was memorable enough for us to think ‘hey we should order that again’. we decided to not order on doordash this time (due to the price gouging on doordash- i dont think thats a sals issue lol) and its absolutely wonderful. its our new favorite pizza. next time we will tell them we like our crust a little crispier and im sure they will follow through. all around great experience. they had it done before we could even get there (we love not waiting) and the check out process was super easy. i feel like it was a little pricey but we have enough leftovers to feed us for the next 2 days so i feel like it makes it worth it. the pizza itself tastes great. it also taste great warmed up. we got a salad which was also really good- pretty basic but thats why we ordered it. we got the caesar salad because my pregnancy hormones NEEDED it and it definitely hit the spot. we got the pepperoni breadsticks and i will say DEFINITELY get the extra cheese. i will have daydreams about them. we also got the fettuccine alfredo and honestly , its pretty basic. i feel like you have to mess up real bad for alfredo to not turn out good. it was super filling, and we have leftovers of that too. the only negative thing i could say about this place is im not a fan of the FREE garlic bread that comes with the pasta. emphasis on the free part though because i know a karen is reading this right now and will probably run with that. im sure the garlic bread is good to some people but personally, im a fan of the kroger frozen garlic bread a little better lol. all around we truly had a great experience. we will be back again and...
