Hen House Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Moorhead

Very awkward when you walk in. Nobody greeted you and very odd layout Ordered a couple beers and has thought about getting an app due to the fact we see a couple unique items. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming if you were not a regular. Our server wearing a birthday sash was very rude, inconsistent and brought up a 2nd beer dropped it off when we didnt ask or order one and said it's happy hour and walked away. Both of us confused and glad we didn't touch it cause it's a scam tactic so when u do touch it you get charged. Bad bad practice. She needs to be retrained and talked to as she was sitting in the other side of the bar with what assumed to be her bf along with the other server a very short lady that worked there kissing a guy. Unprofessional. This place left a very sour taste and I also took a few pictures of how dirty the place was to pass the words along to friends family and probably even the state...

We had our team outing there today with 8 people. We opted out of the pizza buffet, as it appeared as it had been sitting for quite some time. Our server was a bit surly and did not appear to be happy to be there. He was impressive as he got all of our orders correct with changes for 8 people without taking any notes. We were also waited on by a young lady. She was dressed in sweatpants and T-shirt. It was a bit sloppy for a server. I was disappointed when we received our tab. I feel that most people with that large of group would not pay in cash. However, they have an uncharge for paying with credit card. I feel in this day and age most people pay with some sort of electronic payment. I understand, as a business owner, there is a charge for using it but that is a cost of doing business and they seem to have already reflected that in...

It was a mediocre experience. They have a nice variety of food, and the atmosphere is nice. The service and food, however, weren’t that great. The waitress was very apathetic, which I can sympathize with to an extent. Nearly everything we ordered had something wrong with it. Ordered pizza rolls, received house bites; Requested no jalapeños, received jalapeños; Ordered fries, received tots (and were charged the up charge for this mixup). It took so long to receive our food. The prices are pretty good for what they offer. I’m sure it’s a great place to order a beer and hangout as a local, but the experience as a nonlocal there for some good food wasn’t that great. 2.5/5 stars.
