Dank Burrito — Restaurant in Morehead City

This was honestly an amazing experience. I'll start with the customer service. The guy that took our orders and rang us up was amazing. He was patient with us with it being our first time there, and didn't get agitated when we didn't know stuff. But it wasn't just him, even the girl that brought us our food was amazing. It was hands down some of the best customer service I've experienced. And then, to the food, which was also amazing. I've always wanted to try Dank Burrito since the food truck came to my university and I missed it, and then a lot of my friends have tried it and also told me they loved it. So yesterday on a day outing a friend and I decided to give it a shot. I'm normally really apprehensive about trying new places, but I knew I had to. I stuck with the "Plain Jane" burrito bowl, and it was delicious. A lot of burrito places are build your own, and while some people love this, I do not. I always end up throwing some stuff I think I like in a bowl and it turns out poorly, so someone else putting together that flavor profile for me was a breath of fresh air. The chips that come with it were delicious. The queso that they sell was also amazing, I typically am not a fan of queso with peppers in it but their queso was completely different. It was absolutely delicious. I'm excited to be able to try some of the different options they have on the menu. A lot of people have complaints about the price, and I see that and understand that, but also, the quality was superb. Can I go buy tacos at taco bell? Yes. Are they going to have the same quality ingredients? No. The price honestly equates to the amount of food and level of quality you receive. So while it may not be something I can afford every week, I'll definitely make it a regular stop whenever I find myself...

We had Dank delivered to Havelock today at work, which was very convenient so no one had to leave to go get it. Of course the minimum for them to deliver was $25-30 which is totally understandable to make it worth the drive! Between 4 people we were easily going to spend that much anyways. The Carne Asada was a little too spicy for 1 of us (wimp of the group)but the others loved it, the jerk chicken had just the right balance of sweet and spicy with the mango and gave it a great flavor. The Asian pulled pork was pretty good considering it seemed an odd combination! The teriyaki shrimp was very good also! The truffle Mac and Cheese is far from your traditional Mac and cheese but in a great way. The gouda gives it a different but very delicious taste. The guacamole is amazing and all the sauces, pico, and Kimshi were the cherry on top! The only thing that I would personally change is the amount of black beans in the recipes that have them, but we could've very easily asked for light black beans and I'm sure they would've accommodated. Of 4 women, we all had different opinions on what we liked the best, but all in all everyone liked it alot, and it was a great chance to test the different options...

Out of the 4 times I've gone there 3 of the times there were issues, the 4th was a no return incident. 1st time I went I ordered a chicken burrito. There were bones in the chicken. The food was tasty, but I chipped a tooth biting into a bone. When I told the staff the manager came out and explained sometimes bones are found because the meat is so "fresh", while this didn't make too much sense to me I just went with it. 2nd time I ordered tacos and they were made with the wrong ingredients. ... Kimchi instead of pico, fixed, but a bit of a turn off, as I'm not used to eating fermented foods. 3rd time was great, I ordered from the truck at an event. The chicken tacos with the pineapple and mango salsa. Absolutely delicous. 4th time was today, went to get the Asian pork tacos. First issue that I noticed was that when I went to sat down (they had JUST opened) is that the tables were dirty with crumbs all over them in many locations. I selected a seat that looked clean. When I got the food there were long black hairs, about 3, on the tacos. Sorry, Dank, delicous food, but given your cultural references, I hope your employees aren't high when cleaning and...
