Cook Out — Restaurant in Morehead City

I try and be kind and considerate when doing these reviews. It's sad to say this chain went downhill quick. I can remember when the menu was a real value and the food was quality and consistent. The past few visits to this particular location were sub par at best. My order was simple a bacon cheeseburger tray with a double Cajun fry extra seasoning. Mustard, ketchup,pickles, onions. The service was fine the young lady was polite but the order was WRONG. After taking my third bite I realized they had slathered the lower bun with lettuce and mayo. I guess you get cheap food then the serve will follow. This is the last time they screw up my order.. The cook apparently took my request for extra seasoning as an opportunity to add enough seasoning to my frys to choke a horse. I'm sorry but I really can't recommend this or any cookout for that matter. 😕 If you do decide to ignore my warning, Atleast check your food before you pull away or order from the window so you can thoroughly check your order and its correctness....

If i could give a -5 for service I would! This was a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience. The girl in the window had a HUGE attitude problem (Logan) is the name shown on my ticket. She didnt get my order right AT ALL! I was missing items she told me i never order certain items. However when she took my order and i placed the first part of my order she asked me if there was anything else, i said yes and completed my order. When i tried to explain this to her she told me i was wrong and closed the window in my face. Im also pretty sure she charged me TWICE for the order i had to place again! Then on the way home HALF OF MY DRINK was in the cup holder because there was a hole in it! Plus my food was cold. I am absolutely disgusted with how i was treated and the customer service here!!!! I would not recommend...

I eat at cookout all the time and have been to many different cookouts and always get the same meal. Never had any issue anywhere. Got food here today, and while eating it, a friend told me several of his friends recently got food poisoning from undercooked food here. And sure enough a few hours later I got sick. Only thing I had to eat all day was from here. Got a chicken sandwich and a chicken quesadilla. Quesadilla tasted like it’d been sitting out all day, wasn’t warm.
