Sabraton Station — Restaurant in Morgantown

This place has taken a serious nosedive since Covid. Not what it used to be. I placed a takeout order for wings last weekend, and when my wife arrived home with the order and I opened the containers...they were so badly burnt black, they weren't even edible. I thought I was being pranked or something. They were that badly burnt. Both orders. My guess is they sat under a headlamp for a long portion of time while the staff corrected an appetizer that they forgot and charged me for. I called this order in 40 mins before my wife showed up for pickup. She waited an additional 45 mins for them to fix the order and get her on her way. The wings ended up in the trashcan at home.

My last few orders at Sabraton Station have either been messed up, missing items, or burnt food. I kept taking this to the chin though, as I have been a loyal customer since it was Archie's. I have spent alot of money there over the years, and I wanted to give them a chance to make it right, before I left a bad review. Even with my building frustration with the previously messed up orders. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, and give them a chance to right several wrongs...and I would have continued to be a loyal customer. I just wanted my money back for the wings. That's it.

When I called in to report the issue (same night), I was quickly dismissed by a bartender, and told that one of the owners would contact me "within a few hours". Fast forward to the following afternoon, and I still haven't heard anything. Next day, nothing. Called back in, and was given the same run around. This continued until today. I called in this afternoon, and one of the owners happened to be near the bar. He picked up the line quickly and was extremely rude to me stating "yah, I heard about your order, what do ya want?!" "You want a refund, giftcard, what do you want man?!" I said "refund, but..." He then hung up on me after saying he would refund me for the portion of the wings. Never let me speak...

My advice is to stay away from Sabraton Station and spend your hard earned money elsewhere...like I said, it's not what it...

Sunday Dinner,.....check #63, 5:51pm Ordered 30 garlic wings,....overly cooked in fryer, very very dry and and "0" garlic sauce on them, side of fries my Son ordered were good. Daughter ordered zuchinni sticks and they were saturated with grease like a sponge and noone ate them! Absolutes terrible. My son and I ordered burgers and received them well well done, ordered Medium. His fries were good, mine were 50 quarter inch pieces called fries. I ssked, and waitress did replace them with new fries, but I received them after all were done eating. My daughter order chips to eat with me and when they came they were cold! We are a military family and money is tight. Very, very disappointed. Either your cook doesn't care about what they are putting out from kitchen to your gursts, or just doesn't know what they are doing? My Son and I came previously on a Thursday a few months ago and wings were tasty and burgers cooked to order, medium. Not sure if we'll be back after tonight. We were told that the owner has a seafood restaurant on lake? We'd like to try, but hopefully we would not have the same experience or lack of care from kitchen preparing our entrees. There was no rush tonight and we were maybe 1 of 3 tables eating food, with one of those tables finished eating 🙁 Very disappointed. Went to pizza Al's and...

I ordered the Corona wings and the hot BBQ wings. Unfortunately, they only come in sets of ten. The Corona wings were described as a garlic butter/parmesan and herb kinda thing, but they weren't buttery or garlicky enough for my tastes. The hot BBQ was like a buffalo mixed with a BBQ. They were good, but if they had a little sweetness to them then they would have been almost perfect. This is probably just personal preference and I think I would enjoy some of the other flavors more.

I also got a burger with brew fries and a side of onion rings. The burger was very good and the brew fries are excellent. The onion rings were a teensy bit overdone but not bad at all.

However, the highlight of our visit was definitely our server, Brittany. She's very personable and seems to know the menu well. Both good conversation and wonderful service was provided.

Overall, we will be planning on coming back!

We did end up coming back, and I enjoyed things a lot more. Service wasn't as good, but the burger was consistent with last time, and the Thai/honey BBQ wings were both very tasty and much better than the other flavors I tried. Great music selection and it's not freezing cold inside like most...
