Have had sad food experience at this particular Sonic before, with next to no chili and cheese on a Frito pie and a very bland burger. But tonite 11/11/23 at appox 0815 I thought to give it another try. Ordered a 5 piece tender meal with a root beer and a double burger which took a few minutes due to the "hang on a minute" replies to my "hello's?" and "are you there's?" The young lady eventually brought out my order on the tray and it did contain the chicken dinner and a burger, along with a milk shake I did not order and no root beer. I told the young lady she could keep the shake and nevermind the root beer (due to an odd feeling I would possibly piss someone off and get a little something extra in the drink) and to keep from making a big issue (because I am not a Karen or a Chad) I went on ahead and paid for the meal.....much to my later chagrin.
The burger was fine, fair to middling as I expect a Sonic burger to be, (it really was improved over my last burger from this location, not much...but some) but the chicken dinner......LORT.
The meal comes with 5 pieces of chicken, 2 of which were of, I figure average size and 3 which were on the utterly anemic end of the spectrum. The tator tots were luke warm at best leaning toward cold, and the Texas toast wasn't Texas toast....it was more a slice of sandwich bread toasted in a manner which made it slick, but was also on the cooler end of the temperature scale. But the winner for the meal was the onion ring, which wasn't actually an onion ring. To be an onion ring it would need to be a ring and have onion inside the batter. What I got was a batter ring....ish, and it was cool to the touch.
This isn't the worst experience I have had with a chain restaurant but is definitely in the top 2. Needless to say I have 0 intentions to return to this particular Sonic and will warn folks to avoid it if I know they intend to visit.
And to the owners, managers, or whoever might decide to reply to this, don't waste your time or mine. The place has taken that long slide into mediocre and sadness, in my opinion, and at this point has no potential redeeming factor to regain...
Read moreEdit -- I went through the drive through on 6-24-21. There was a car in front of me that apparently made their order and then pulled around. I think to myself that this is a good sign. Maybe I will have a good experience today. Now my turn. I pull up to the speaker and wait a couple moments. Nothing. Wait a few more moments. Nothing. Probably about two minutes of dead silence, and now there are two cars behind me in line. Still no acknowledgment from the employees. Keep waiting...... I even said "Hello?" at some point. Wait a bit more. Nothing. I drove off. It is not like I waited for 10 minutes or anything, but I waited way to long for ZERO FEEDBACK from the employees. I would have been fine with a "Welcome to Sonic. I will be with you in a moment." But no. Absolutely nothing from the place. This has to be about the worst Sonic there is. First off, it took three tries to find a working stall, and then the card reader ended up not working on this stall, so it was only kind of a working stall. I swear there is one stall that hasn't been working for years now. Come on people.
Now let's talk about the order. Currently on our Morrilton menu is a Frito Chili Pie. Please note the chili in the name of the item and the chili on picture of the item. I ordered a large Frito Chili Pie -- $4.29. She rang up a large Frito chili pie and add chili. The + chili costs an extra dollar. She read me back the order. I said "So the Frito Chili Pie doesn't come with chili?" She said "No". So I canceled that part of the order. What kind of stupidity is this? If the "Frito Chili Pie" doesn't come with chili, then what do you get for $4.29? You just get a handful of fritos and some cheese?
These people need to be trained. The frito chili pie has chili on it by default. The people taking the orders need to be educated on the menu items. Fix the stalls. The owner/manager needs to take charge of this place. No one seems to care about giving people a good experience...
Read moreWhere do I start, this has got to be the worst sonic I've been to hands down. I'm in the area for work and I said maybe it was just a bad day, the first couple times. However, the last 2 days has convinced me never to return again. Last night I went for a Route44 sweet tea and I literally was the only car in the entire place. It took 17 minutes to get one drink. Then I go there today and order a Sweet tea and a double Cheeseburger. I get home and this burger had enough Mayonnaise and mustard for 15 Hamburgers and I'm not even playing. I couldn't even finish it, it was f-n ridiculous. I will upload a picture with this review and you can see for yourself...Totally disappointed and gonna have to find a new place for Sweet tea!...if you visit just know you were Warned...
In refrence to "Sonic's Response" Why would I escalate it anywhere? It's your problem not mine. I can simply not go back. I hope that this review of your employees inability to put condiments on a burger keeps someone else from getting the same service as I received. I only write honest reviews and I hope enough people see the pictures I posted and your stupid generic response to a real internal issue and say you know what F sonic lets go somewhere else because obviously someone who does what they did to my burger is doing other things to other peoples burgers and I'll never visit your establishment again. If this stops 1 person from giving you their hard earned money...I'm satisfied. Hopefully it's many many more that take their business elsewhere to someone that appreciates them even if it's the sonic in the next...
